Coach Banda

I feel weird because I don’t hate Banda at all but the Manny association rubs me the wrong way. He did his job here and happy that he is finding success.
People for some reason think they’re the same person, when they’re not, Banda was always his own man.

Banda was the most aggressive recruiter we had in the Diaz era, people hate him for personal reasons & because they are Rumph supporters & blame Rumph’s struggles on him.

Banda had his faults no question about it, but he was a good recruiter & an overall good guy.

Part of the reason he left was because he wanted to be elevated to be a DC here & call plays on his own, but Manny only ever wanted his Defense to be ran his way, he would only give control to someone like Baker who would agree to do things Manny’s way only.

His career trajectory without Manny will tell its own story, but the hate he gets really isn’t justified.

Manny would be getting yelled at all night long..He wouldn't last a week at a busy bar. He'd be a bar back in no time. He'd probably suck at that too. He just needs to go away already. The day he gets canned is the day I stop thinking about him. F this guy already.
LOL I just realized this original conversation was about Banda not Manny LOL. Still, F that guy 🤣🤣🤣

Dude worked his *** off while here and left the safety room nice. He helped with more than db’s too. He’s one of the few guys that go recruiting and building relationships.

Yup and let’s face it, we might not have 0/15/24 if it weren’t for his efforts.

As for Mani, he simply doesn’t have the national appeal to be on ESPN. He will probably be on ACCN

I didn’t like the Banda hire for the same reason I didn’t like the Manny HC hire. A program like Miami that believes it deserves to be a top P5 team should only hire proven coaches.

But Banda did something very few coaches are able to do. He overcame his own leadership’s failures to bring in top talent despite th fact he had no track record of putting kids into the league. It was very impressive tbh. And you also can’t discount his early success developing less-heralded kids like Jenks and Red into NFL level safeties.

For all that I feel Manny was in over his head at Miami, never wanted him as HC here and wanted him gone after MSU, I credit him with some sound coaching moves like bringing Banda with him and hiring Lashlee and his coaching crew. I wonder what could have been for Manny if Muschamp had been our DC this year. My bet is some G5 takes a shot at him as their HC.

I want all of our assistants to move on and do well. It's better for our program. Not sure why people don't understand that.

I'm still trying to figure out how RG3 is calling the ACC Championship game...yikes....must be a shortage of big time announcers because I CANNOT get into a game with him calling it

My a$$. Give trob some credit for getting JW and Kinchens elevated to college level quick. Banda was a bum coach.
who said that jw and kinchens were developed by banda? he wasn't here to develop them. he did get them both to sign here and that was before trob was on staff.
