The defense hasn’t improved at all.. numbers improved for the reason you listed. Utah state is a high flying offense and the defense finds a way to back door pad their stats after the O has a good lead. After coaches catch on that **** gonna be ranked in the 100s

I bet on Utah st a lot this year. Any number under 7 you gotta bet with them especially at home so I watch plenty of their games. The second that offense slows down those games become real scary for them

First, you have the wrong number. Second, you're ignoring the massive improvements since he got there. They're up 36 spots in scoring defense, up 40 spots in total defense and up 62 spots in third down defense.

No idea what this means (every team had to play in the pandemic), but he also improved heavily on their 2019 stats.

They're way better than before, improving during the season and winning games. That's the sign of good coaching.

How does a team pad its scoring defense stats?



First, you have the wrong number. Second, you're ignoring the massive improvements from the prior year. They're up 36 spots in scoring defense, up 40 spots and up 62 spots in third down defense. Most importantly, they are winning and getting better throughout the year. That's what good coaches do.

You get a big lead on a team and force them to be one dimensional. It can take away the strength of a team and scoring becomes a bit more complex that’s simple football lol they “hold”opponents to around 26 points a game but if you dig deeper teams really have no trouble moving the ball on them at all. They do well situationally just like Miami. Some bend don’t break stands here and there but for the most part teams do what they want at Will on them when the score is still manageable. Their offense usually makes the other team abandon the run game tho
