There is no way that's an official time. He looks faster than that, I hope that's a typo.
They dwelled on that time on the podcast. Like, that's his verified time, and even if you think he's faster than that, it's hard to believe he's .3 or .4 faster.
They were serious as cancer.

I love CWH's film - but he's 6-0 175 lbs.

For reference as to how skinny that is - 247 has 57 RB's in the 2024 class that are 6-0+. The only one under 180 lbs. is CWH at 175 lbs.

While the film looks great at RB - he's not built at all like a RB. So that makes him hard to project or rank highly.

Think Corn Elder as a comparison

This reminds me of a few years ago when AR15 was first brought to this board. A bunch of porsters in here were saying how he was at best a 4.5 guy, and that his competition sucked, even though he had some filthy high school film.

It wasn’t until Saban really went after him and the recruiting sites bumped him up that those same porsters started changing their tune.

Then of course he showed everyone how truly special he was during his FR season, and it’s still criminal that he got injured and was forced to retire. He was gonna be a great one, in my opinion.

Now, I’m not saying that CWH will be the same, I’m just saying that people are jumping to conclusions and not respecting this kid because he’s a 3-Star. I guarantee you that if the blue bloods come calling later on this year, he’ll get a huge bump, and the usual suspects will then cry if/when we lose him.
Oh man I loved watching AR play. Knew he was going to be special the moment he stepped on that field. I've been actually watching highlights of that 2016 season this week. That play where he leap over the ND defender still gets me pumped up.

I like the running backs that also look good and natural at DB

A lot of pausing about to happen but you can’t be stiff and play DB and having fluid hips and quick change of direction, suddenness are great qualities for a running back

Backs that win those one on one battles in close quarters are the ones that break big plays
Jesus Christ bro!

He's definitely a 4.4- 4.5 kid...there's nobody even catching him

You can't sneeze at 17ypc even in Broward County
Yea… if this kid is 4.7, then I’m running a 4.7 40 too. ****, I’m 50 and well over 3 bills. If u can’t look at that film and see that this kid is faster than 4.7, then idk what to tell you. He looks to have really good vision as well. So that’s a plus. A RB can get away with being a step or two slower, if they got great vision.

He was a special talent, no doubt about it. Plus he also played with a lot of heart. If half our team played with the intensity, intelligence and heart that AR15 did, we wouldn’t have to endure so many ***** seasons.

I’m a big believer in verified testing, but times can be deceptive early in a player’s career. Redwine ran 4.8 as a HS underclassman and hit a 4.4 laser at the NFL Combine.

The size is a real knock. The speed isn’t. This kid is extremely dynamic. Our coaches were blown away by his athleticism at camp.

only seen the hudl.

SBroward comp isnt good in my opinion

Coach at my high school mentioned him as a DUDE. Coach was an NFL lber vet and has no bias as hes a TenN Volunteer from LA.

Will see him live this year.

From film he reminds me of Lorenzo Booker from FSU. Who coming out of hs was all world...
****. I haven’t watched this kid’s film, but I hope I see something different. Picturing Booker’s style makes me nauseous.

Excellent post! I totally agree.

Testing is important, but it isn’t the end all, be all. I remember a certain WR that was dubbed as slow by the experts at the time that wore #80 for the 49ers, and who in my opinion, is the greatest football player ever, and I’m not even a Niners fan.

Which leads me to believe they'd like for him to play CB if RB doesn't work

He's plenty fast, that much people can see. That YPC average is gaudy.

Who was thar WR from around the time of Jerry Jeudy that had 25+ yards per catch, but never seemed to do anything? He popped into my head when I saw that carry average for this kid. I'm by no means saying they're the same, it just popped in my head.

I honestly don't get the take. Running back is the one the positions in which rankings are usually a very good indicator of future success - there aren't that many under the radar running backs who blow up. That being said, if we're going to take an under the radar back it should be a guy with freakish athleticism and I'm not sold that's the case here.

One difference I see with him and Book was Book was a scat back essentially. Another yearby. This kid seems by his huddle like he's a one cut and attack sort. Id hope so. Cause scat backs are better suited for lines that zone block. We're setting up shop to be maulers. I don't know south broward football. But by seeing those highlights I agree on the comp. That looks like JV level ball. Hope they're both right & his comp isn't why he shines.

A 17 ypc average is a sure sign that this dude is facing subpar competition. Those numbers are not even realistic in a video game. He is clearly talented, but i would wait to see how he performs against valid competition before hyping him up too much
Who did he play then?

Doesn't Dilliard play a typical SoFla schedule?
