Chickillo submits paperwork to Draft Advisory Board

He's so slow. I nicknamed him, "The Sloth," last season. Its frustrating to watch him.

Sweet nickname, bro. Really caught on. What's next? Is Dorsett "the flash"? How about Coley...can he be "S-Col"?

Thanks BRO!!!!!! LOL. You always amuse me. Step away from the computer in your moms basement. You're a little out of line.

aren't you missing a class at beauty school there, Stylie? back off. cowboycane lives in my basement.

Schools out. I start my part time job at Aveda on Tuesday.

Man some people are really just flat out dumb. Chick clearly isn't declaring for the draft, he is just seeing where he stands at this point. If any of us were in his position we would do the same exact thing, guaranteed. He sees where he stands now, and then busts his *** to try to improve that tenfold between now and this time next year.
'
Also, a little encouraged by Papa Perrymans comments. Denzel staying an extra year would be huge.

Maybe some of us are unaware of this aspect of the process there tough guy. Thanks for your expert technical insight regarding the matter. Thanks to everybody here who helped us better understand what submitting paperwork actually entails. I fully support the move after understanding the process.

Okay, my apologies. I certainly wasn't trying to be a tough guy here.... I guess my post was directed at the people that knew what it entailed rather than those that were unaware. But regardlessly, I am certainly not trying to come off like that so my bad

Lord have mercy. The man just wants an opinions and the fan base jams in the thread to **** all over him.

This dude has went through a lot of **** for this team, and is a better player than what most guru's on here give him credit for. Put Chick on a line with AQM, and McCord constantly, and you would see his performance lifted. Chick has been playing with the zombies from The Walking Dead. Since the departure of the guys who were here his frosh season.

Not saying he would be drafted high, but i do think when he does go to the league. He will be one of those guys that shock most fans as to where was that when he was here.

Chickillo is a limited fast twitch player. He could never be a 4-3 NFL DE. His best hope is a 3-4 end in the pros. Low round draft pick at best, just not twitchy.

Geezus people. There's no downside to doing this for any player. It's always beneficial to get an unbiased review.

i agree, they will tell him what he needs to improve in which imo will help him, i definately dont think he is going anywhere and DP will take pops opinon, he can go all out next yr, esp with another yr of Utough and mold the LB we have now, think positve CANES fans think positive, we are not there yet we are creepin slowly but that cat 5 is brewing

Enlighten me as to the process. If a player submits paperwork to a Draft Advisory Board, does that not mean he is entertaining the idea of coming out? What review would the player receive that might be beneficial for their decision one way or the other?

Motivation, maybe Chick wants to hear a low grade so he can come out with a chip on his shoulder next year

Doesn't fit as a 3-4 DE either IMO. Too light. Not long enough.

Allen Bailey barely plays as a 3-4 DE. I find it hard to believe that Chickillo has a chance.

Re: Perryman, if his height is the only knock on him by scouts then he might as well bounce. He's not gonna grow two more inches while at Miami.

I think if they bulk chick up some more like they've been doing, he could probably make a decent 4-3 DT.

Some here are reading too much into this. It's like anyone getting an unbiased evaluation of where they stand in the world. Maybe Chick will use this information as motivation for next year.

Not athletic. That limits the upside, regardless of what he did or didn't do here. Lack of twitch is a good summary.

Maybe a backup rotational 4-3 end on a weak roster, someone you're always looking to upgrade.

He had a better chance several decades ago, when 250-270 pound marginal athletes had a place in the league.

But heck, Chase Ford is out there, making plays for the Vikings...

The kid is a worker, he'll make it somewhere, but it would be a bad idea to leave early. Seems like he's doing his due dilligence seeing where he stacks up and will return when he finds out he's a late day 3 pick.

Chickillo has the talent to start in the NFL. This staff ****ed him up, but he'll do well at the next level.

Mark my words. He'll be a solid pro.

Really? Kids like Baraka Atkins were more explosive, made an NFL roster, and never started a game in the NFL. Matt Walters were very productive and he played a season in the NFL. Chick is a grinder, much like his dad. I do think he'll grind his way onto an NFL roster.

That being said there is absolutely nothing wrong with him doing his due diligence.

You can't judge NFL potential for recent UM players by what they do here. (See Sam Shields, McGee and others).

Shields should have moved and stayed at cornerback when he arrived at Miami. He had a very good senior season. The dude had NFL speed. Brandon McGee can run as well and he had a productive senior season considering Miami could generate no pass rush in 2012. DVD has the fastest kid coming out of the combine. If you go back, Jon Beason couldn't stay healthy but had a very good junior season. Sharpton is another kid who had a very good season in 2009. Hardly surprising these kids made rosters. It also took them a few years to get it going.
