I would caution people to keep peoples true identities and occupations off the board, even if they are in the all time douche club. Random Walk strikes me as someone who knows an insider. He's been on these boards for over 10 years and still remains an enigma.

If you're talking about my mention of a personal name, I assure you I don't know the guy I mentioned. I just know who he is and his role for our program. Wish I did know him, though. I love ketchup.

This is from a former "insider" who was supposedly close to the board. For a bit now, I just found it odd that no one could verify his presence off the board. Nice guy and never had a problem with him, but I just found that odd. Every other "insider" known to the message board communities has at least a few people who have seen him/her in person.

I liked him as a poster on grassy. Don't know if he was for real, but he was clearly a smart dude, not an idiot troll. That was evident from text and syntax.

IF he is for real, he should be on this site, IMO.

But someone has to know him or it's hard to see how he's real.

I went to that website and looked at the activity for Tuscaloosa Regional Airport. There's one plane that has made multiple flights into and out of Florida, mostly Palm Beach but some trips to OpaLocka and Tampa. How do you check on the ownership of a plane if you have a tail number?

More actually, it's a program of that Department that runs or licenses businesses run for the blind throughout the state. Now, why they need a plane, and why it needs to keep flying in and out of Florida, I don't know.

I got a picture of the plane back in December 2011 when Saban was down here recruiting Amari Cooper/Deon Bush. Saban was definitely on that plane because people saw him get off.

He's definately a fake. There were a few times when he'd get specific about recruiting and he was 100% wrong.

And once in a while someone would call him out, and he'd get defensive as **** about how "they wouldn't want to go there."

And if certain posters have the need to make themselves more important on a sports message board - whatever. It just gets annoying when people clamor that they won't believe certain info until MB or Random Walk verifies it and posters defend RW like he's some untouchable insider.

I have no concrete proof of it, but I always found it odd that NO ONE seemed to know who the guy was yet he was such a big shot with such close ties to the program. He was one that was fanning the flames of the Spurrier to Miami hype though, IIRC back when Coker got the boot. Just always did a lot of teasing about the "stuff" he was hearing, but would never really give it up, nor did he ever break anything solid. IIRC didnt he say that the personal jet was his wife's or his wife's family?

I honestly dont know if the guy is legit or not, but I have long shared the same doubts that Lu expressed.

I've half-jokingly wondered if he's Paul Dimare. So, it's not like I think the guy is full of **** at all. He was always a thoughtful and friendly dude with me. I think he'd admit that it's fair to wonder about someone that literally no one on the board knows. It doesn't mean everyone over here knows each other, but a lot of guys can get "confirmed" by at least a couple people that they either met at a tailgate, the team's hotel, one of the booster dinners, etc. Maybe Random is one of those guys and just decides to stay beneath the surface.

I may be crazy, but I had been on Grassy since 97. Didnt he used to post threads called "Ask Coach Random Walk" or somesh*t like that? Thought he claimed to have coached ball at one point.

I just saw the evolution of him as a poster over there over the years, and it felt like a Chefcane thing to me.. Again, no beef with the guy, and no proof he is a fraud, just a vibe I got and always found it odd that no one knew the guy for being such a wired in big shot. There were some other inconsistencies over the years I noted too, but didnt prove anything one way or the other.

I remember that **** about "ax the corch" when he portrayed himself as a football corch. That was his initial persona on Greasy in the 90s. From Div. III assistant football corch, he morphed into Ric Flair with a private jet and inside info in a relatively short time period.

I'm paid to debunk garbage, and I don't buy any of the **** he's pedaling. It's easy to be right when you're super vague. That's how psychics and tarot card readers bilk people out of boatloads of cash every day of the year.

I will say I was on there like crack for the last 4-5 yrs. I never seen 1 post questioning anything. and yea no real inside info to his percentages just his info from a deferent angle . i kinda liked the dude but I used to disagree with him pretty badly over Shannon, before I bailed on that site. Including whether he was going to get fired. The guy said no right up until south Florida game that year.

He wrote a long post about how Shalala was not going to fire Shannon and we should all just deal with it, he was guaranteed multiple seasons after 2010.

OCF is legit and like another said never got into the recruiting stuff. He could be a **** to people, particularly those that were overly bombastic. He was is and will always be a homer. He made it clear when it was his opinion he was espousing. I believe he and #3 to be friends as well. I never met him in person but had some interactions in email/PM and he was beyond friendly and got me a hook up of sort. I know he rolled his eyes at the Chef stuff.

OLDMANCANE was the only other poster I'd ever classify as a valid insider. When OCF, who is legitimately connected to UM said the only person he'd listen to on the boards for insider was OLDMANCANE said, that's good enough for me.

I always wanted to know who Grassy's source was in the early days and if he posted or contributed. I just know he was from the Houston area.
