Yes, but even an elite recruiter isn’t gonna get everyone.

Biggest **** ups are not getting quarterbacks. I give him a pass on year one because it was a two week class and you’re not gonna flip a five star quarterback in that time. Emory and Judd just aren’t gonna put just aren’t good enough. I’m no quarterback evaluator, but I’d like somebody to explain what the Miami staff saw in the both of them. And then they go get Reese in the portal. Yikes.

Rumors and message board fodder had several high-end quarterbacks committed or possible silent commits. We did have Rashada committed, but bull**** gotten in the way there. Kind of wish we had him now assuming there’s no bull****. I remember a big rumor the Nebraska quarterback was a silent commit here and that never materialized.

We’d better hope and pray Luke Nickel live up to the hype. Mario needs a quarterback high school recruit to be a big success. Trends have to start somewhere. Elite wide receivers will start to come when we have returning high-end quarterback play.

Cam signing late and being a one year rental was meaningless to players coming in this year. They aren’t gonna play with him.

QBs are basically recruited two years out and then commit more than a year out.

The first real QB they recruited was Rashada and we know how that went and now is Nickel which is followed up by Coleman and hopefully the Ransom/Miami NW kid.

Agreed. Is a shame Rashada’s commitment fell out because of all his bull****. He showed some skills at Arizona State. We’ll see if he does anything at Georgia, but I really don’t care.

Quarterbacks are tricky. Just like the NFL. You going be wrong more often than right, although you don’t need elite (1st round) quarterback play to be successful in college football. A very good college quarterback surrounded with superior talent can take a team long way.

Sadly, Miami’s current quarterback room is relying on a true freshman or a surprise portal acquisition.

It’s gotten to the point where I hate watching The Suckeyes even play. Every time I see Smith go out there and look like an absolute freak of nature I can’t help but think about him in a Canes uni and what might have been. People will say, “You can’t get everyone” but there’s just certain recruits you cannot miss on. Dude is 1 of 1.

The days of CFB played by amateurs are gone and won’t be coming back. CFB is too important for some schools to ever break. They’ll pay whatever they have to pay, and be more than happy to keep winning ships.

Nobody cares when OSU misses on a kid bc they have 3 more in the pipeline to replace them with. When Miami misses on a kid, it’s a big deal bc they don’t have anyone to replace them that’s even close to the same caliber.

You think we should be going for Mike Mathews? Last years wr class seems crazy at this point. Hudson already moved to A&M and apparently for <$150k... Smith, Williams, Coleman, Wingo already producing. Clemson got 2 top guys last year. Obviously us with Jojo and Ny Carr. Drelon Miller...

Mathews may not even be all that expensive tbh...

Suing to break the NFL 3 years out of high school rule?

Good luck.

The rule is part of the NFL-NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Supreme Court rejected Clarett's case twice. He may have an anti-trust argument but his lawyers aren't convincing anyone
 
We aint winning sht unless the defense gets a massive overhaul.
Osu didn’t only win because of offense today.
Their dline has been a problem the last few games and their secondary is **** good too.
Unless cam gets another year we better build a **** top 5 defense. Nobody in the portal nor anyone that may jump is gonna make anyone on this team a 1k receiver.

Apparently Clemson will be interested in him. Banks will be here very soon , hopefully we can get it done quickly if he’s the guy. Lock him up quick. There’ll also be another big name interviewing. It’s down to a few guys.
