CFP Quarterfinals: OSU vs Oregon

Apparently Clemson will be interested in him. Banks will be here very soon , hopefully we can get it done quickly if he’s the guy. Lock him up quick. There’ll also be another big name interviewing. It’s down to a few guys.
not being happy in Knoxville only to move to Clemson..

Tim Banks is currently making $1.5mm, glad to see Mario going out and targeting a legit coach with pedigree

I don’t know anything about Banks. Would you be pleased if he is hired?

I don’t know if any of you realize Mario didn’t go to Oregon and destroy the program. Mario left the program in better shape than the previous coach. While, you can blame past coaches of the result of the football program. You must start blaming the schools presidents for the lack of commitment to the football program or athletics. The talent level hasn’t been there for 20 years. Yes, Mario will make mistakes, NIL (creates another obstacle), but Mario committed to rebuilt this program and get us back to winning. I just don’t understand why so many throw the towel and want to get rid of Mario. I see another 10 plus win season next year. Though, a challenge year so considering the strength of school but that’s what we want. We want to be involved in big-time games.

Just read up on what happened.

I can't even begin to explain how absolutely insane the hire of Banks would be for this program. People want elite coordinators? Banks name shows up next to the word "elite" in the dictionary.

Coached up LBers and defensive backs at an elite level and is a huge part in Tennessees success story over the past few years. He adjusts extremely well and gets the absolute most out of the defensive personnel that he has.

I'd be ******* ecstatic.

The days of CFB played by amateurs are gone and won’t be coming back. CFB is too important for some schools to ever break. They’ll pay whatever they have to pay, and be more than happy to keep winning ships.
With this supposed “salary cap” that’s coming to NIL people claim this will level the playing field and bring normalcy back, but we all know that’s b.s. Schools like Ohio State will just spend their $23 million limit on NIL, and then pay whatever else they need to recruits/transfers “under the table” just like the old days. You can imagine a scenario where: “Yo, we can only legally give you 2 mil in NIL money but check your locker this evening for another 500k in cash.” We all know certain schools are never going to play by the rules no matter how many rules are put in place.

They’re talking about a cap on profit sharing. NIL is separate. They can’t stop or cap NIL, so they’ll be making money from the profit share and NIL.
