Looks like they cooked on Pouncey and Kendall Dennis is trending to Auburn. I also think Dennis was lower on their board. Just not a lot out there. Lawrence was their top guy and he decided to stay home.

We have the best DB in South Florida in Francois. Yet some of our fanbase gives him no respect because of his 247/Rivals ranking.

That kid is a 5* talent and will have a better career than half of the 5* DBs in the class.

Yes, we need to add 2 more DBs, but we got the best of the best locally, isnt that what people complained about with missing on Surtain and Tyrique in the past?

Some guys might get fired. Health reasons might cause others to step down. I want to bring it a big class this year and next. Weed the non contributors out early.

That would give us 6 DBs. Or do you think one of our current commits won't be in this class? I know we'll likely take 25+ in this class, but I'm still wondering about numbers. I've heard people say we're taking 6 DL, 4 LBs. Add in 6 DBs and that's 16 players just on defense.

BTW, what's the story on Clarke?

As long as the DB play continues to be excellent I'll take it.

Given the extreme abundance of talented DBs in S Florida (this year is an exception), that's not exactly difficult to accomplish.

That said, I do agree with you -- the coaching aspect has been excellent so far. And if that continues, I'm happy.

People have had a problem with him since the day he was hired.

I loved the hire. I was thinking: Former Cane, National Championship, played H.S. ball in S. Florida, 1st Round draft pick -- this guy will have the stud DBs lining up to play at Miami.

When it became obvious that he had problems selling (which he himself has recognized), I started to doubt the hire a bit.

BUT, he is a good Xs and Os coach. As long as that continues, I'm reasonably happy.

Not true. I love Francios but he is going to be a Safety I thought. I am speaking of CBs. If Francios can play CB for us then I'm all for it but I'm not sure that is the plan right now.
