I looked up who the UCF QB was for that game and I was expecting KJ Jefferson or Jacurri Brown was the QB that lit them up. Turns out it was the 3rd string QB Dylan Rizk who went 20 for 25 for 294 yards, 3 TDs 0 Ints. This was the game Jacurri got moved to 2nd string and they went with Dylan for the last 4 games

What if he wants to play Nickel cause that is what he thinks he needs to show on film?
What if he isn't playing nickel and that isn't our plan.
What if we have determined there is not any high quality nickels in the portal....

Just because we cant find a high quality nickel doesn’t mean we should make our best outside guy the nickel. Thats literally what happened last year and eventually we opted to play without a true nickel on the field lmao thats how bad it got

So you have already decided that because Porter sucked at Nickel that Brantley will also suck at Nickel because they both play CB? Got it.

Frankly I don't know what the staff's plans for Brantley are but he may be amazing at Nickel. Who knows? I'll let the coaches figure that out. Also, I'll spare you the suspense my friend. Brantley might get a look at Nickel during Spring but so will Dylan Day and definitely Damari Brown among others. When Amari Wallace gets healthy then he will get a look too.

It goes beyond booing- the stuff on social media and this forum was weirdly personal. People were frustrated with the program in general and took it out disproportionately on one player.

It was one of many factors that hurt his performance. Certainly not the only one. But why are we hurting instead of helping? What good does it do?

On top of that, many people were just flat wrong about the kid. They said he had no talent- bad feet, slow, FCS player, etc. Clearly he has talent, and all those people were wrong.

There is always a scapegoat, especially on defense.

The worst was hearing Guidry at some early media days talk about how they didn't have a lot of depth. No **** Sherlock. And then you bring in Savion Riley and Dyoni Hill? IMO, even though I was impressed by Guidry after his first season and would normally give him the benefit of the doubt, his lack of self awareness was inexcusable. Anyone with half a brain saw this coming.

So being on the WC, I watch a **** ton of football including a gang of PAC-12/Big XII, B1G football. I’m legit scratching my head on this take. Does he look like Richard Sherman? Yes; does he have an ideal CB frame in today’s modern football? Yes; but, I can unequivocally tell u he’s not that guy u want on the boundaries.

I usually don’t agree w/ PFF b/c their metrics r more skewed to the NFL game, but I will say, just like the recruiting services have gotten better over time w/ more staff & data, so has PFF regarding CFB. Karnley graded 59.5 in coverage & 53.5 as a Defender. Yeah, that’s **** poor.

He gave up 51% of passes that came his way, 4 TDs, & an avg. of 13 ypc. He also spat on a player & was suspended. So yeah, I dunno. He’s definitely a project, for sure.

Sir respectfully from now on please refrain from calling any of our DB’s performances **** poor. Hence forth the appropriate way to describe it is…..
