I studied his Texas Tech and Colorado games and was pleasantly surprised. He's much better than I expected him to be.
Long, can change direction for a guy his size. Decent speed (bit of a long strider). Had some trouble finding the ball, but even on a couple of plays he gave up against Colorado WR's singled up he had his arm there at the catch point or was contesting the ball.
Not sure if I'll write him up fully (especially given the mood seems to be down on the kid). But I do know that Michigan's staff REALLY wanted this kid (per their beat writer) and that he was much better than #1 on film, who was supposed to be their stud and an NFL draft pick. Arizona staff seemed to know #23 was their best guy because they played their defense that way and he was a freshman in football eligibility.
Played on kick block, punt return (outside blocker), gunner on punt coverage, covered kicks.
Maybe there are some games out there that someone can link me to where he was dog sausage so I can see all the negative stuff?
