For the record, I watched about 250 of his 380+ snaps from TV copies.

Probably saw about 50 more but couldn’t see enough due to camera.

My opinion is far from uninformed or guessing from some twitter clip. Im not DB guru but I feel pretty confident he’s a) not good and b) not going to get good coaching that he’ll need to reach this “ceiling” he supposedly has from the coaches currently in this program.

FWIW, that’s not Zenitz. It’s a former college personnel guy (worked for Chris Peterson when they signed the class with all the first rounders) who runs the 247 Portal rankings.
Overlooked that it was Petagna that said it. Yes I’m very familiar lol we’ve been in the same wedding and we talk occasionally about these things.

I was actually going to ask him for some coaches cut on Karnley if we landed him because he made similar comments when he entered the portal.

Not me. I call it like I see and come back to own it when I’m wrong. See below:

I did hype up Charles Brantley though. And Ethan O’Connor. And Cam Calhoun. For those that want to pretend I would say it regardless of who we land or whatever narrative y’all have. I’m just realistic about who we’re taking.
We got Branltey, are still in on O'Conner, are still likely to get Lucas, and this dude might be CB 3 or 4 in this class. Seems like a fine take for a guy with 3 years left. If he has 1 year left and was expecting to get a lot of pt or even start I'd be 100% agreeing with you. But I don't think this is that.. If you just think of it as he was in last HS class with OJ and Mack it seems fine to me.

In that case, perfectly fine. I’m just putting my opinion on a message board. Nothing more

Jackson cheeks as a developer?

You know I respect your opinion, so I'm just going to ask this question.

Given that this is his first year playing after switching from WR, do you honestly think he has no room for improvement? Because I remember another WR who got put in Randy's doghouse and then converted to playing DB.

Sam Shields.

And Sam converted from offense to defense halfway through his college years, not between HS and college.

Does anyone else get annoyed by the MPH bull****?

Arroyo ran 21 mph (supposedly) and this kid who ran a 10.6 also ran 21 mph?

Arroyo is fast for a TE but he's not fast for a DB ... how could they possibly have run the same mph?
over how many yards, and how often, are two pretty important contextual points.

If we get Lucas and another CB this take is pretty good. He does have upside, especially learning now that he switched from playing WR primarily. If he’s expected to play a lot/we whiff on other CBs then I’ll go full mope.
