Right it's very favorable for any QB plus we shown we can develop QBsMoney and an elite oline! Hopefully someone jumps at it
No, nice prospect but he’s not the immediate answer. Surrounded by ridiculous HS talent, rarely gets touched or even pressured. Plays designed to get ball out real quick, so not much reading defense.I love Nickel as a prospect. Everything I look for in a qb is there but in no way do you want him starting week one.
“There’s absolutely no chance he’s the guy in 25. That was never a question.”Because those people believed the nonsense. I was always ok with Emory down the road if he showed something. Maybe a fourth or fifth year guy getting a year to start. But he’s shown nothing at this point to say he’s a guy. He actually looks the exact same as last year. In my mind he was never an option for the foreseeable future. There’s absolutely no chance he’s the guy in 25. That was never a question.
The Clemson and FSU game made one thing clear to me, his arm was so weak and his throwing motion was awful. I don’t take much from those game’s since he was a true Fr in a bad spot but there was no denying his limitations with the arm. I thought he had an average arm by his HS film but there’s no zip at all , nada.
You saw the first 20 play calls like the rest of us brother. Do you think that’s a realistic option or any belief a staff thinks he’s the guy? I think it was pretty obvious what they thought. I bust Mario’s balls on a lot but until proven wrong I’ll ride with him on this situation. He knows the importance of this.“There’s absolutely no chance he’s the guy in 25. If we know Mario and Dennis Smith the way we think we know them and their evaluations, and their actions in the portal for a QB so far, I would say that it was definitely part of the plan at least up until the end of the 2nd half.
Rumor is that Notre Dame is after Ewers and Milroe. Supposedly those are their two options. While people can point to Mateer, if the staff fully knew Emory not the guy, why aren’t our actions further supporting that?
We should have played Cam the whole game then and used it as a lasting showcase for our portal options.
I suppose all roads lead to a certain player, but if that next player doesn’t enter the portal, then we will have to wait until spring and bring on someone who lost their spring QB battle (we are not going to get a star at that time) and cram everything Cam did last spring to summer. That doesn’t bode well when looking at our OOC games next year.
Why can’t we make things easy on ourselves for once?
Lol they had absolutely no intention for him to throw the football yesterday…if they could, they’d run it every **** play. Blatantly obvious they don’t trust that kid with the keys to the offenseDid you watch the first 20 play calls brother ? Ewers really should look at returning to college . He’s not a first rounder , maybe not a second rounder either. He’ll make mad money in college compared to the NFL and actually play. I’d be ok with both of those guys at this point. Dawson has proven he can adjust his offense to guys like Milroe.Rumor is that Notre Dame is after Ewers and Milroe. Whom does Miami turn to if Ewers was the college playoff QB they were after?

Just reading this and thank god. There was just no way I was believing that MC was betting year 4 and all of his momentum on Emory Williams.Because those people believed the nonsense. I’m revisiting my own post after what I saw yesterday. Are we revisiting this or nah
That was pretty bad yesterday. I want to blame Dawson, and he deserves blame for the 3rd and 6 WR screen, but Emory also did not make the throws needed to be a starting QB even in a ball control offense. That was not good. No way to spin it.
I tried to say this and was told we weren’t looking to fill a spot for RB so I suggested TEAt this point I’d be okay with Milroe tbh
If he beats OSU/Oregon in the semifinals, he’s going pro. An NFL team will jump the gun and take him in the first round. Happens all the time. A lot of people thought Nix and Pennix would fall to the second roundEwers really should look at returning to college . He’s not a first rounder , maybe not a second rounder either. LMAO that was me, I was still bullish on Mario QB recruiting prowess.I tried to say this and was told we weren’t looking to fill a spot for RB so I suggested TE
I absolutely love the idea of Milroe in a Dawson adjusted offense. Nothing too complex, some nice easy completions, couple moon balls and the threat of his legs would open up even more of the running game for Fletch and Lyle
Milroe and our OL. It would be D. King on steroids. We win 10 games next yearI tried to say this and was told we weren’t looking to fill a spot for RB so I suggested TE

If I am throwing the money because of how many years he has left, I am throwing $10 million plus over 3 years for Leavitt. But who deserves life changing $ that’s out there?
Beck
Ewers
Hoover
Leavitt
Are these the only realistic haven’t changed spots yet QBs that even fit that mold? Hoover to me should likely be the one we go all in on for realistic moves but TCU also has $.
