Carson Beck

Let’s say Beck and Ewers come back to college.

How many 2025 QBs would you rank ahead of them? I’m assuming it’s a long list, based on the way they’re discussed on here.
I don't have a list, but I would take Mendoza over either one of them. What Mendoza did this year with the lack of playmakers around him, was impressive. Since there are no Ward's in the portal this year (including Beck or Ewers) give me FM.

Not many.

Good college QBs, somehow both damage goods if they come back and I don’t think they would be cheap.

I think we could get the same results at half price though (assuming the Mendoza recruitment doesn’t go bonkers)

If its between Ewers, Beck and Emory? Give me Ewers as QB1 all day every day. Beck and Emory are equal for me. On one hand, we just saw Beck turn into TVD 2.0 this last year. On the other, we have no clue what we could expect from Emory. Beck at least has the benefit of experience in playing in some big games so I'd probably lean him over Emory as well.

They only lost 2 games this year and one was in absolute dog **** weather with his oline was hurt.
He threw 9 picks in three games. He was a meme on SC. Common opponent for next year, UF. Threw three picks, they would have lost if dJ didn’t get knocked out! He was bailed out by an elite defense. He checks down to his TE and RBs. He’s getting processed out at UGA. I feel like I’m being gaslit @DMoney.

This guy is an NFL draft pick who put up big numbers in the SEC. He’s tall, has a good arm, and can run. Most importantly, he has a ton of experience. Of course he’s better than most college quarterbacks in the country.

If he jumped in the Portal, he would immediately get a huge transfer grade and a ton of calls. I think Cam Ward has distorted our fanbase’s idea of what a good college QB looks like.

Which is why I keep asking: if Beck is trash, who is better in 2025? It should be a long list.

Its not a long list, but Mendoza was a slam
Dunk IMO, and Mario let him walk.

No guarantee coming off injury Beck can be Mendoza.

Right now out current QB situation sits around 12-14th in the ACC.

Georgia couldn't run the ball for sh*t this year either which didn't help. not absolving Beck of some of the horrible picks he threw though but yeah

I don’t think Mike Bobo’s offense is exactly made for QBs to thrive but that’s jmo

This x 1000

You took the world's right out of my mouth. Who has Bobo ever developed recently? If he wasn't Kirbys bestie would he ever be coaching at UGA? I don't think Beck is a right off. Ewers, on the other hand, is essentially being pushed out the door by one of the top offensive coaches in the nation. it makes me wonder..

Dawson runs a way easier offense and actually attempts to work around his QBs weaknesses.

I think Emory could use a year to battle and develop behind a vet like Ewers or Beck (both were projected first rounders) and we could use a year before handing the keys over to Emory. Plus, both Ewers and Beck have had injury issues. We'll need Emory regardless
