My worry becomes the LB position. We’ll be fine in the secondary and along the defensive line. LB core is still a huge question mark, in my opinion.

Well at some point these highly touted recruits who want playing time are going to have to start earning it and making plays.

I would too but OU is *** juice and Mateer would have a higher QBR here than Beck would if they were both here.

because he beat some mountain west teams and won 9 games?

beck was legitimately still seen as a first round QB as recently as 2 months ago by some scouts, he'll be fine

in beck's "bad" year, he finished 8th in QBR, in Mateer's best year(against G5), he finished 34th

You could sell me on his traits. Could make an argument he could have been like Josh Allen if he hit. Milroe ain’t doing that even if he hits.

as long as he's here to learn the playbook and get us enough buzz to land some weapons in the spring window -we're good

he only needs june/july/august for prep and we'll be fine

But assuming he’s healthy Beck will be one of the best QBs in CFB next year. And he’s a perfect fit for Dawson’s offense and UMs personnel.

Need a WR1 for sure. The OL and running game are strong and I like the two TEs we have. Just think our WR core is below average right now.
