Curious to what happened to everyone who time and time again said MARIO DA GAWD will close strong, that is what he does, he's an elite recruiter, I trust him fully on the trail. How is that working out?

Did you guys actually think continuously waiting till the end of the recruiting cycle to flip blue chip prospects was a smart approach? Did you think that was sustainable? You better be ready to play a big bag game with that approach, because money is #1 on everyone's list today and will be tomorrow. Not to mention, how much more difficult this approach is going against other big bag schools who are actually winning brands.

Not to mention, many folks here have pointed some cancers on the staff who are really hurting recruiting efforts which Mario flat out ignores.
This is the sort of "I told ya so" posts that I find annoying yet perplexing. While I don't see any lies, I do see omissions of past late flips in order to precerve the I TOLD YA SO. I don't get that part of it.
The second paragraph paragraph is playing the result. You think waiting til the end was the approach? Or could it be that a lot of our targets wanted to play elsewhere or got bagged elsewhere? What does "other big bag schools who are actually winning brands" mean? That's some serious self-loathing.

And no, I'm not a Mario slurper. Laugh all you want, I'm not. He's not above criticism so long as it's fair criticism. When the roster is constructed (read, after portal), then I'll pass judgment.

Seems like a lot of hopes and dreams rest with the Portal this year.

Serious question - what does our transfer portal strategy look like during the season? Who watches the film and compiles the rankings? Are there even rankings? At what point does Mario get involved? I don’t see position coaches doing this during the season, although I would hope they are briefed at muiltpile points what the streets are saying.

I have been talking about Mario's recruiting flaws from day 1. This isn't revisionist or I told you so, not from me at least. I knew his flaws from his time at Oregon. If you did the research, you would see it yourself.

I also unfortunately know a few people who happen to be directly involved with recruiting at UM and there are internal issues regarding recruiting that have been there since Mario arrived. So none of this is new to me.

I learned a long time ago, you can't fix stoopid, so I didn't bother explaining to you that identifying extreme mopery is not the same as denying reality and when that's the comeback someone has, it's called gaslighting.
Now, for anyone else reading who might wonder what gaslighting is, gaslighting is a type of psychological manipulation that causes someone to question their own reality, memories, or perceptions.

Thanks for playing Stoopid. Carry on.
This all bores me tremendously. I've lost interest in whatever you're rambling about now. Carry on

So....

Only flips were Stubbs & Nix?

Now possibly Toney too?

Why is the class all the sudden bad??
And dont let people fool you..After Cribby said he saw Stubbs live and wasnt impressed at all..everyone jumped off his bandwagon. And DMoney had to calm the wolves from people comparing Nix to a more twitchy Corey Flagg because folks werent impressed with his Sr film. FACTS. There is a reason our staff didnt up the bag on those two..they saw the same thing most people saw.

That said, is this the ideal class we wanted? No. But someone said it..this seemed like a weak class overall this year. No Jeremiah Smith/Dylan Stewart type players imo. Maybe its sour grapes but just what im seeing. Alot of teams are going to have buyers remorse over what they gave some of these recruits. Alot of "renegotiating/missed payments/bounced checks" stories I predict come out again this time next year.. Especially out of Gainesville.
