Did you guys actually think continuously waiting till the end of the recruiting cycle to flip blue chip prospects was a smart approach? Did you think that was sustainable? You better be ready to play a big bag game with that approach, because money is #1 on everyone's list today and will be tomorrow. Not to mention, how much more difficult this approach is going against other big bag schools who are actually winning brands.

Not to mention, many folks here have pointed some cancers on the staff who are really hurting recruiting efforts which Mario flat out ignores.

He had a DC who people don’t want to play for. What a presser. Would you want your kid playing for that Cajun goofball? He’s never wrong and he talks more about Cajun cooking recipes than correcting his crap coaching.

This just isn't about Guidry. Where are the elite offensive talents? We have 1 dude who is a top 100 guy and he is an OL. How do you not sign top skill guys after a record offensive season like we had? And please don't point to other offensive commits. While good, there are no elite talents, instant impact guys. This class top to bottom is a failure.

I learned a long time ago, you can't fix stoopid, so I didn't bother explaining to you that identifying extreme mopery is not the same as denying reality and when that's the comeback someone has, it's called gaslighting.
Now, for anyone else reading who might wonder what gaslighting is, gaslighting is a type of psychological manipulation that causes someone to question their own reality, memories, or perceptions.

I think with the increase in attention on the portal..signing day in general has lost its luster. Because these kids will sign to you this year and hit the portal the very next year. (I.E., Micah Hudson from Texas Tech) So IMO signing day is just not as big anymore. These are not multi year commitments. Its "Yeah i will rock with you for this year until the next big deal comes along" type of a commitment. Lets NEVER forget the infamous "20M recruiting class" that TAMU had just 2 years ago. Half those guys transferred out the next year. Welcome to modern day recruiting. So dont fret too much about how this day goes.

Ignored the question. Why didn't we sign any top 100 skill guys? I don't care who you like or who you think we paid up for.

This recruiting class is a failure on both sides of the ball.

That a&m class had so many busts and all that money they wasted
 
Feels a lot like 2013. Came off a good season and had one of the worst closes I can remember besides Coley. Only this is more depressing because we at least had targets we could lie about then and we weren’t as good 😂
