Top ACC Class, #15 in the country. It's not a failure.

This is a sprint not a marathon haha. I kid I kid. With all the negativity the pst few days I fully expect a bounce back year in a big way in 26. Name the recruits in this pic... 15-20% of them could've been had. Two Oregon commits, 2 UGA commits, A&M commit. 2 UT commits, 1 ole Miss commit and and Arky commit. 80% of them DBs...

Hilarious to me we have someone who is hand delivering elite players to our favorite team for once, and Dennis Smith said no :pgdead:

If he's actually gone, good riddance.

Notice no FSU, UF or OSU recruits including an OSU legacy from shaker heights outside of Cleveland... The 26 list is 🔥. All they gotta do is ask. I'm the opposite of guys like wimbrow and dirt right here in plain sight

people might think im crazy but I think Hanks is the stud in this class over Pickett. Pickett might be a bust, hanks is a 1st rounder imo

Difference is they are committing to football unlike UNC. They gave Cignetti the 2nd highest assitant pool in the country at 11 million with a commitment to NIL. They have a huge alumni base that's just getting a taste of how good they could be.
Valid points until you juxtapose it against Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame and other schools in that region. Had I not watched UNC try this several times over the years, I would be a little more open minded to the idea. If you don’t like the UNC comparison, how about Ucla? Duke? Arizona?
I’m not trying to be bristly, I just don’t see it. Yes they are a large public university in the B1G. Yes they have a large alumni base. They also have been a perennial doormat for decades in a large and growing mega conference. Anything I guess is possible, I just can’t see top recruits picking Indiana over Ohio State or Notre Dame, even if IU if offering a couple hundred grand more. Last I checked, while we were sitting at 15 in the recruiting rankings, IU was at 48. That was earlier this afternoon so maybe they’ve moved slightly, but you get my point. If it makes you happy, I’ll say there’s a 1% chance it happens?

Bruh you're losing your **** today... get it together.
Transparently speaking, I did say I was lashing out and will change my mind with some good news 🤣

Edit: Just ready to win damnit, that’s all. Us, Mario, players. It’s time, we deserve it. We choked it away this year, then signed an underwhelming class. I don’t rant often if ever. I was sick when I woke up today.

I feel you brother. And my bad, you do deserve to rant...

I agree with you UNC is a good comp for the type of school. Felt like they were one really good coach away from getting the fan base to buy in but it never happened. Maybe the new hire could be the one but who knows.

I also wasn’t saying they will be top 20 in recruiting but the polls. I expect them to be active there and will probably see an increase in recruiting in the 30s.

Here’s what could happen. Pollsters continue putting more weight on B1G and $EC teams, pushing out the leftovers, while shrinking the pool of poll eligible teams. It would create a scenario where IU is competing with 35-40 school to be ranked in the top 20, rather than 60-70 schools now. However I think litigation will play out changing the model before it gets to that point.
