I'm not surprised that over a third of our fan base is clearly full of mongoloids.

Guy can't even win The ACC Coastal, yet people think he has what it takes to win The MNC.
He's been here 3 years, couldn't win the coastal in 2011 with a senior laden class, then failed to win it on two consecutive tries in 2013. Yet people think he's going to win the NC.

That last thing you mentioned is probably THE most important task that a Head Coach is directly responsible for. It will end up being the major reason he fails here.

It's a **** shame too cause he's a likeable guy. At first I was really rooting for him to do well here...but what I've seen the last 2 years just screams that he's a more well spoken version of Shannon. Stubborn and reactive....no proactiveness whatsoever. He also hasn't recruited anywhere near as well as I thought he would.

Perhaps the massive cloud of potential sanctions, the chatter of death penalty and the absolute wet fart the previous head coach left on the program has had something to do with it?

(I'm not even going to count 2011's class considering that Randy absolutely left a wasteland there before he was fired)

2012: 10th (247), 9th (Rivals), 9th (Scout)
2013: 14, 20, 21
2014: 12, 12, 11

Don't think that's too bad with how much he had working against him.

Except that when he DIDN'T have anything working against him, his class imploded and he replaced 4 4* players with a couple plan Zs.

So far this class he's missed on pretty much every big time recruit in SFL, and we're not even 3 months in, and the biggest thing working against him now is that he can't field a competent defense.

Bingo. And Gibbons decommitting at the 11th hour had a domino effect because not only did we lose a potential future LT, but then the staff added completely obscure guys like Joe Brown and Tyler Grimsley after NSD because they needed bodies along the OL. After missing every single one of their late targets (Valentine, Jackson, Harris, Ross, etc).

That's what losing programs do. And the cloud had nothing to do with any of that.

Can anyone of the yes votes. Step forward and explain the reasoning?

Is it just blind faith, our do you see something the masses don't?

The day after he was hired. I believe most would voted yes to this question, but as time has gone by. Evidence has a risen that can't be ignored.

So i am asking for one of the astute Golden supporters to come forth and tell me what you are seeing.

Can OP un-anonymous the poll. I would love to see the great minds behind the Yes votes.

Depending on how long he's here. With how recruiting has been going, if we continue to recruit well and he can develop guys like they did at temple, we should very good. If the defense get's to top 10 level, and we get really good QB play out of baby jesus or kaaya we will be in the running.

he'll be here until he's fired, which could be this year. the play on the field will warrant a firing but since this admin is so ****ing stupid that they signed him until 2020, we might be ****ed

I imagine that you must be about 30 years old, unemployed, probably on some sort of disability for being a functioning ******

At some point, when you mature, you will be able to have discussions like an adult. Also, you have 4 times the posts that I do, though we joined at the same time. But i'm the unemployed ******? LOL.

If he's here for 2 more years, then he certainly won't. If here's for 4+ more that means we're doing well and i think he will win a title.

I can post from my office. I dont have a job that requires punching a clock with no access to the internet

I'm giving him a pass for the first two seasons, purging Randy's mess and the NCAA sanctions in all. So right now in my mind his first actual season with a fresh start here he won 9 games with a half broken QB on his third offensive coordinator in four years and with a lot of room for improvement. If the team steps backwards in the win column this season I will start to lose faith, but I think with reasonable growth as far as wins and talent acquisition over the next 2 seasons we could be right in the hunt.

I fully expect the defense to improve this season simply on talent alone.

We have enough to win the ACC, and that alone puts us in the Dance, where anything could happen.

Plus if Gene Chizik can win one, anyone can.
