Lol at this I attended both uf fsu coaching clinics and the pattern matching defense from the secondary on up is complicated for young players...and offensively i cant speak on uf but jimbos offense takes young guys awhile to learn. UM just doesnt have the talent yet imo
 
Right about the time the 3 watt lightbulb starts flickering inside Dorito's dented skull that a competent coach has to adapt his scheme to the players on the roster, they'll be packing up his desk and campus security will be escorting he and Golden off the property. That day can't get here soon enough.

I wasn't talking about offense and we run a similar one to FSU anyways. There's is probably slightly more advanced.

Defensively, there's more than just the secondary pattern match zone. What is asked of the linemen and linebackers to compensate for that difference is more complex.

So what we don't play pattern match zone? What's asked of our linemen and linebackers is more complex and involved than what you guys run as a whole.

I will go with yes just because another rebuild means at least 5 more years of this ****.

We won 9 games last year with a hobbled qb, without our best player for the second half of the season and without much talent on D.

I know the masses are upset about Coach D, as am I, but I have to believe that he is getting the pieces we need to make the scheme work. Once that happens we might actually field a defense.

We have recruited well considering we have been under investigation for 3 years and have been fighting the worst public perception challenges this program has ever seen. IMO, we just survived a real attempt by the NCAA to destroy our program.

Talent is starting to build at every position, including DT (wyche, huertlo, moten, Pierre is better than what we have had recently). Our QB situation is very strong but inexperienced. If we get good qb and Dt play this year we win 10 games. I have absolute blind faith in Olson getting it done this year. We win 10 this year, duke comes back next year and we will be in the playoff in 2015.

That's is Al's path to a championship.
 
I'm not sure if he will or won't. I do know that Butch was more hated after four years than Golden. When he left for Cleveland some applauded. I do know that those same people who called for Butch to be fired are the same ones that want him to replace Golden. I will pull for The Canes, even if Satan is the university president and Joseph Stalin is our coach. The []_[] Cane4Life

I liked Butch. Never wanted him gone in the first place.

I liked Golden. Until the PSU debacle (and bowl game). I even didn't have a problem with the banner that was flown for AG, I didn't donate though I was considering it.

Yes over the last 12 months a lot has changed.

Why is it a bad thing for people to see the facts for what they are and change their opinion about a situation?

To me it's a good thing that we have a critical fan base and not just a bunch of blind water carriers that mindlessly support that team no matter what direction it's headed.

It takes a certain kind of special to continue blindly supporting something that is obviously broken.

I understand Penn St. upset you. It upset all of us. I wanted him gone when he pulled that **** on us, but i'm over it. However, it isn't a on the field issue. The defense needs to be fixed NOW. obviously broken? Wasn't it broken when he arrived? Wasn't there a serious lack of talent? Wasn't the high school community pushing South Florida kids away? Every fan base is critical, I think ours, often times, is emotionally immature. Jimmy could't win the big one. Dennis's offense wasn't what the South Florida kids knew and he was a drunk. Butch couldn't recruit highly rated guys and was a bad game day coach. Randy and Larry were Canes and deserved a chance. Heck Randy was suppose to be the king of South Florida and was going to recruit lights out. I'm all for you having a right to your opinion, but finally the NCAA is gone, the high school community is getting better and the talent has improved dramatically. Their is a lot still to be done, but there is a huge difference between blind support and just support. I support this team. I think judging someone without their body of work having been completed is foolish. He is our coach for at least two more years unless he leaves for another job. I'll wait patiently to see how this plays out. I know enough to know that I can only cheer for The University and hope for the best. I hope he wins big, if he doesn't….. next.
