Canes ranked 12th tonight

Well, Ward Manuel just laid out how they looked at it. Losing twice in the last three games was a killer.

Bama is 3-1 against current top 25 Miami is 0-1 against current top 25
6-1 vs teams above 500 Miami is 4-2 versus teams over 500
That last stat implies Bama is 3-2 vs teams below 500 miami is 6-0 vs teams below 500

see how we can do that lol

Indiana is 0-0 agasint teams current top 25 miami is 0-1
Indiana is 1-1 vs teams above 500 Miami is 4-2 with the 2 losses on the road.

Another angle I’ve been thinking about. Since the CFP has shown it takes ratings into consideration. CFP thinks Bama/ND would get better ratings vs Miami/ND.
I find that totally insane

Actually you speak opinions, I know thousands if not more fans who would love to see Ward and that offense one more time.
You're, far and away, the weirdest Miami "fan" I've ever encountered. You revel in our misfortune.
Yea well let me know when this program could beat teams in the ACC regularly and not embarrass themselves every year. I don’t give a **** what you or anyone else think about me.

Welp, at least we won the Florida championship. Cristobal can use that to justify his salary and spending 15 million plus on NIL.

Honestly, I agree with you. I was being more neutral to keep the mods off my a*s. Since the Diaz days, they hate me lol. But nonetheless, I feel this was the PEAK OF THE CRISTOBAL ERA, not some delusional "progress year." You will never have quarterback, a schedule, and such parity, in which there is a lack of elite, can't beat teams like this year again. This is Manny in 2020, Golden in 2013, Richt in 2017, and Shannon in 2009. This isn't going to work with Cristobal. I can't believe no one knows their history and can't see it...
You need a cold shower. Parity is here to stay. Good college quarterbacks are always available in the portal and our schedule next season, especially in conference, is not all that difficult.

With the way the playoff is set up, all we need to do is win the conference once and we are in.

Give someone else your computer, methinks you are too emotional for the message board game.

It would have been ugly especially if Miami were to go down early. They couldn’t even beat Ga Tech and Syracuse when they were double digit favorites. How do you think they would have done against a team worth a ****?

Wasn't Ohio State a double-digit favorite at home against Michigan? How about Bama vs Vandy/OU? ND vs NIU? Tennessee vs Arkansas?

From ESPN "What it came down to, is we evaluated both teams, we think highly of both," Warde Manuel, the committee chair, said of Miami and Alabama on the rankings release show on ESPN. "Both have had some losses that were not what they wanted. But in the last three games, Miami has lost twice. ... and we feel that Alabama has got the edge over Miami."

Everyone knew they'd get Bama in.
There is only one clear takeaway here. We need to schedule Mercer late in the season.
