Canes ranked 12th tonight

Well, Ward Manuel just laid out how they looked at it. Losing twice in the last three games was a killer.

Bama is 3-1 against current top 25 Miami is 0-1 against current top 25
6-1 vs teams above 500 Miami is 4-2 versus teams over 500
I mean at there’s sound logic there. For what it’s worth I do think that this year we would’ve pulled more viewership and interest nationally for whoever our matchup is than Bama. Win or lose we’re a fun team to watch this year. Every game is a bit of a rollercoaster

Honestly the only reason I thought they’d throw us in there was the same reason we even had the season we did. Cam

From ESPN "What it came down to, is we evaluated both teams, we think highly of both," Warde Manuel, the committee chair, said of Miami and Alabama on the rankings release show on ESPN. "Both have had some losses that were not what they wanted. But in the last three games, Miami has lost twice. ... and we feel that Alabama has got the edge over Miami."

Everyone knew they'd get Bama in.
Losing two close games to solid teams on the road… including a team that took Georgia to 8 OT’s in Athens… compared to Alabama getting curb stomped by a 6-6 Chokelahoma team.

Whatever.

We'd be playing Notre Dame.

We'd be alright. We'd **** them up. Mario is weird. He'd coach up that game just because thats how he is.
Lol December in Southbend? When it’s 20-30 and possible snow. Yea you think the 2010 Sun Bowl, 2009 Champs Sports Bowl, 2018 Yankee Bowl or whatever the **** it was called, and 2012 in Chicago was bad?

So they are saying if we lost to a team with a worse record it would have gone further than losing to better teams? Bama has the worst losses of any team in contention for 11 and it’s not close

Cam played at Washington State… he would have been used to playing in the cold.

Need to leave the ACC as the SEC/B10 influence will be insurmountable for decades to come. Mario absolutely has to get rid of Guidry asap. The optics are terrible as are the actual results. We regressed significantly after game 1 defensively. There is no further evaluation needed.

Two things can be true at the same time.

We didn't earn the bid with a win at Cuse and we have ourselves to blame- True

We are more deserving of a playoff spot than Alabama based on- better record, more competitive in our losses, and having the best offense in the country - Also True

Cam isn’t the only player on the team last time I checked
He is the most important player, yes?

Also Martinez played at Oregon State.

Not saying the cold wouldn’t have been a factor, but some of UM’s key players have experience playing in those weather conditions.

Too bad we’ll never find out.

It would have been ugly especially if Miami were to go down early. They couldn’t even beat Ga Tech and Syracuse when they were double digit favorites. How do you think they would have done against a team worth a ****?

Why because I speak facts? I don’t give a **** if it’s a good or bad look. This defense was an absolute embarrassment.
Actually you speak opinions, I know thousands if not more fans who would love to see Ward and that offense one more time.
You're, far and away, the weirdest Miami "fan" I've ever encountered. You revel in our misfortune.
