Beard might be a decent hire for a program like FIU but he should not be a WR coach at a school like Miami. Maybe he could be WR coach at Miami if he cuts his teeth for at least 5 years at a place like FIU, but he is not qualified currently.

Swasey on the other hand has no business being a S&C coach at the D3 level.

Lol why does he have to cut his teeth? You could say this same thing about the Running back coach. At least 5 years? How about if he can recruit and help get kids into the league thats all that matters.

Butch has a nice staff by fius standards so far. The db coach is very good as is key. Holmes is a nice find and an up and comer. Beard is still very raw (should never have been a coach here) so fiu is a good place for him to coach for several years and develop before hypothetically moving up.
