DL recruiting was the bigger problem this year - and im not even saying that due to Briggs or Chatman, because the truth is I honestly don't even care about those two. The fact is we should have been going for more studs like Coburn, especially at DE. Rousseau was the only true DE we were going for it seems like. That absoultely can NOT happen. If we would have landed coburn though (a major longshot it was impressive we even got that close) I would have been extremely happy with our DT recruiting. Still getting Nesta - and elite player and probably the best player in our entire class is HUGE, and Miller is a great find too. Miller is more developmental, but we don't need him this year with that grad transfer Tito and Jon Ford filling that 1tech DT role.

We need to become the business decision for DBs. That takes time. Nesta Silvera made his own business decision to sign with the best defensive line coach in America. Brevin Jordan and Will Mallory made business decisions to sign with TEU. Jarren Williams made a business decision to sign with a proven developer of QBs.

This is a big-time class. Best offensive class in the nation and very good defensive group. Nesta was the guy keeping me up at night. Him and Ezzard are nasty human beings. Jordan Miller was a gift from the nose tackle Gods. Bethel will be next development project for Rumph. Mike Jackson and Adrian Colbert turned out pretty well.

Richt is one of the most proven recruiters in America, along with Saban and Urban. This class is another feather in his cap.

NOOOOOOOO. Keep him far away from all recruits. We should lock this guy in the stacks and only let him meet the kids once they already signed.

Miami just had their 1st 10 win season since 2003.... Miami has to win the state of Florida recruiting battle which they did.. now they just have to win 10 or more games again this year... we have only lost elite talent to Bama, Ga and Clemson

If Tyson or Pat had went UF or Fsu that would be a major problem... we have a staff in place that will win championships but that doesn't happen over night especially at a private school that up until 2yrs ago decided to take football serious

Beat Lsu and Fsu and win the coastal next year and make the playoff or win a the OB next year and we will be back

we just need to finish top 10 with a tri-county heavy class every year and we will run cfb for years to come

But listening to a lot of top kids say they choose school a or b because they are winning left me with bad memories of Lance Leggett

Not complicated. He's not a salesman. It's beyond obvious at this point. Three years running now, he's lost key CB recruits down the stretch.
I'm convinced the guy must have the personality of a moth. He should do the honorable thing for his Alma Mater and go back to the NFL where he doesn't have to recruit.
 
"business decision" type commits might get you a couple guys from time to time but even When Miami was winning they still whiffed on big time local recruits.

Honestly I don't give a funk cause if richt truly is a good/great coach he will bring in good great players plain and simple. The chit always seems to work itself out some how. If it doesn't, again... that's on richt.

Richt, Saban, and Urban names do not belong in the same sentence, stop and think you are saying he recruits as well as Saban [6NCs] and Urban [3NCs] don't know that your point is a positive.
 
Hire DVD as the quality assistant and then cut bait with Rumph and bring in a experience DB coach but let DVD recruit and gather the local talent.
