Business decisions

campbell went to a stacked UGA secondary, how is that a good business decision? kid won't see the field for awhile, he probably starts day one here so no he did not make the best business decision and rumph did a horrible job showing this kid that we are the best business decision for him

Because Kirby has put a ton of DB's in the league! Y'all can say it was Saban, but i guarantee Kirby is riding that coat tail! ****, I would!

LMAO at Rumph liking this tweet. "Not sure where you fault UM" is directly from the Al Golden playbook. Won't take no for an answer unless you're up against the big boys.

RumF would have been a perfect fit in Golden's WEFENSE.

Very bad look for Rumph. I'm not a Rumph hater, but this shows he's paying attention to the talking heads and shows he's taking some of this to heart. It oozes of weakness.

Not sure where you fault UM?

This ain't horseshoes. "Almost" don't mean ****. You either get the 5-star to sign or you don't.

This signing day was an epic **** show.

Fellas, getting 5-star athletes to come to Miami doesn't guarantee us anything. Who was the last 5-star signee we've had who lived up to the billing? Our bread & butter as always been to sign tough, hard-working 3 and 4-star recruits, who aren't as highly coveted as the big names and develop them into future pros. Yes, we've had some 5-star guys pan out, but for every Duke Johnson or DJ Williams we've had, I can name you half a dozen others who didn't. Anybody remember Seantrel Henderson? Tracy Howard? Arthur Brown? Reggie Youngblood? Brandon Harris? Fortson? Guys like Denzel Perryman, Ed Reed, David Njoku and Vilma, who were 3-star guys coming out of HS and killed it at the collegiate and pro levels, are who this U was built on. Quit your crabbin' about who we didn't get. Let's focus on who we did and support them to the fullest. LET'S GO CANES!!!

lol my god this isnt 1990

Rumph’s recruiting failures are a ****** joke

I’m not saying fire the guy now, but at what point does Richt start to question him and look for a replacement?

IMO if he can’t land Akeem Dent and Tyrique Stevenson next year, and our CBs still look like dog**** and don’t know how to turn their heads next year, he’s gotta be gone

Why wait? Three cycles is a big enough sample size. Not landing Campbell or Surtain Jr. should be enough alone.

theres to big a sample size, why risk it get him out now. And I bet we would look bad and we get fuqed anyway cause then he will talk bad about us

How many of you guys have seen any of our signees or PS2 or Campbell in person? Guys are ing and moaning about kids they've never seen or watch play in person. We got some savages for DBs and i challenge anyone to tell me the difference (aside from recruiting rankings) between PS2, Campbell, Frierson, Hall and Al Blades, Jr. I can't wait to read the responses.
The only difference i notice is speed to cover the deep ball...Frierson might be the closest ....looks pretty fast in space....those two kids are speedsters....Ivey and Blades prolly haveta adjust to college speed ...IMO

The question really should be recruiting above replacement coach...just like metrics in any sport. Tell me one guy on defense that we recruited that we would not have gotten if Rumph or any of our D-coaches weren't simply replaced by a random FBS coach? I don't see any, at all. I think all those guys come here no matter what with average coaching/recruiting. Would we have lost some if we had ****** coaching like Golden, sure, but that's not where we should be measuring ourselves. This classes successes are on offense from a marginal perspective, where we measure it by out-recruiting our base. We got some studs for sure on defense, but relative to our recruiting base it's a failure.

Fire Rumph. Fire Banda. Give their combined salary plus an extra $200k to Corey Raymond and get a professional DB coach in Coral Gables.
