Brini Decommits from UGA

I just watched Brini and Henderson's highlights and first Henderson's highlight are mostly at running back just some recent corner film. Looking at Brini I see a guy who tackles well, uses high height to his advantage, and can hang with receivers while looking back for the ball. I'm good for the trade on Henderson.

naw Gray never plaed running back he is still a superb athlete.... There were more people then Pete on this bosrd who thought Brini was oveerrated..Id pass...he is obviously a backup because of the other corner who just decomitted

Pete is a beast but let's not act like his evaluations have always been on point.

D$ and Lu are the guys to ask about this kid IMO.

Trayonne shouldve played WR his body was in the mold of AJ and he has speed. All he needed was proper coaching and work ethic to perfect his craft or play safety. Never got the move to RB. I didnt want to give in the first three years but its sad to say he is officially a jag.

I still think Trayonne is something special and has time to show it. This injury may turn out to be a blessing. For what that kid accomplished to get into Miami? Kid will never be a JAG in my mind no matter what he does on the field.

This. Pete does an AMAZING job with covering prospects and I greatly value his insight with regards to where recruits are headed. But, he has never shown to have a knack for evaluating talent or having an advanced football acumen. That is taking ZERO away from him. Just how I see it.

So who DO we want? Maybe this guy and Roberts aren't ideal, but we still need some guys this year. We can't keep having classes light at a position and saying that next year is loaded. Seems like next year is always loaded at corner. Maybe we get everybody next year maybe not, but we need to assume for now that we won't. So who's a take right now?

Take Nick Roberts, he's an EE who will be 17 when he enrolls at Miami. Ton of upside and the kid makes plays. They really should have been patient and evaluated him in the fall before telling him to look elsewhere. Hopefully both parties left the door open for a return. The "big" corners thing is overrated imo. Technique or Hips can wipe out a 3-4"height discrepancy real quick.

Personally I've always thought that you don't insist on tall if a guy can play. That said, this staff (and a lot of others) disagree. I assume that they're thinking that there are so many good DBs out there that they can be selective and only take the tall ones. For whatever reason, it looks like Roberts is out, so I'm wondering if there are other tall guys they've got their eye on.

Not a big Brini guy. Level of play he goes against is not too serious. He does have plus size, and athletic ability. Just a big fish small pond type. I honestly like Nickel Roberts more. He's my guy and Oak Leaf has been good to us.

I also wasn't that high on hendersom, not because of his talent but the simple fact he mostly is an offensive player, and very limited, raw are cb...and I feel he was redundant with Dallas. I wanted Henderson on offense. That speed would've been a boost..seem to like the big campus uf lifestyle

Kid has the versatility to play CB or maybe s. That works for me as we need depth and quality players at both positions.
