Brini Decommits from UGA

Pete syas he is overrated then he is overrated...Do Not want

Pete also thought trayone gray was the next Todd gurley
No one is perfect on these kids but if Richt and this staff think he is an offer. I'm good with that

naw Gray never plaed running back he is still a superb athlete.... There were more people then Pete on this bosrd who thought Brini was oveerrated..Id pass...he is obviously a backup because of the other corner who just decomitted

Trayonne shouldve played WR his body was in the mold of AJ and he has speed. All he needed was proper coaching and work ethic to perfect his craft or play safety. Never got the move to RB. I didnt want to give in the first three years but its sad to say he is officially a jag.

His HS coach, Aubrey Hill, pretty much said you're a fool if you don't play him at WR.

Wow... im guessing Golden and crew knew better than his HS coach did

Serious Question: Are Golden and his crew even qualified to be HS coaches?

I would take Nick Roberts over Brini ;/

I might get murdered for this, but I think we need 3 more Corners this class. I don't want to hear about the 2018 class. If the 2018 class is loaded with studs, fine. Let em beat out the guys in front of them. And no, we won't risk turning ANY of them away if they really want to be here. We need an immediate and complete overhaul at the DB position to provide legit depth. I'd be more than ecstatic with Brini, Collier, and Roberts.

But as has been mentioned, don't be surprised if another stud CB emerges out of nowhere and gives us a look either.

We gotta let the season shake out. No one had Mark Richt on the radar as a coach this time last year. Who thought FSU would be where they are right now? Kirby Dumb has been less than stellar. USC might be looking for another coach AGAIN. Long time til' signing day.
There is zero sense in taking that many CBs this cycle. You simply cant. The players you're talking about are not some phenoms or something where you make space for them. The type of players coming in 2018 are secondary changers. It's that simple. And will beat out some of current Miami players as well as 2017 recruits. You don't load the roster in that case. You make sure you have enough for the 2017 season

No thanks -

This kid is more Ermon Lane than Sheldrick Redwine.

I'd rather have that kid from Gainsville that was dropped a few months ago.

I feel you, but we don't know who is coming in 2018. We can't fall into that trap. To quote Pap Shaq: "A bird in hand is better than two in the bush."

So let's worry about 2017. The guys I listed may not be program changers, but they're far from scrubs and offer an upgrade over most of what we will have on roster next year. They will contribute. IF they get beat out by the 2018 recruits, then so be it. But there's no guarantees they will. Roberts is a dog. Collier is a dog. Jury's still out on Brini.

There are so many top level players who have a favorable opinion of Miami....some already committed. Even Golden couldn't f it up. We maybe able to take 6 CBs, they're that talented and high on Miami.

Very true, but they're kids. Do not trust. If they come, they come.

I tried to show my kids Raiders of the Lost Ark once. They thought it was the most boring **** in the history of the world. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK! Freaking Indiana Jones, bruh. They didn't even finish it.

I realized they hated it bc Spielberg held the camera on a shot for more than 2 seconds, and characters actually talked to each other. Point is, you're dealing with a Youtube generation. Their attention span and likes are all over the place. You couldn't tell these kids nothing about Chief Keef two years back. Now? They all about Kodak Black and lil uzi vert.

They favor Miami today. Who knows what ridiculous reason will cause them to maybe not favor us tomorrow.

Pete did say in his last Work that Brini been telling folks secretly that he was gonna flip to us. Staff didn't believe it. Maybe they will now.

Btw, speaking of UGA..Hi Maurice Smith! Lol. The two teams you $hitted on are both in the top 10 and the team you begged to spend your final year of eligibility at is about to lose 3-4 games this year!

Now this ^^^^^ is quality.

I do. I take their word as the gospel (Brooklyndee, LuCane, DMoney, too).

But again, we're dealing with kids.

I said that in post 54 and he repeated it in post 90 of the Nick Roberts thread.

Dude knew about this since Sep 12th lol

Translation: Georgia looks like shît, James Coley and Kirby Dumb appear to be much closer in corching abilities to Alph Golden than to Mark Richt, the U is coming back and I don't want to regret it like Dalvin Cook will after Miami whips that Semenhole ***.

So who DO we want? Maybe this guy and Roberts aren't ideal, but we still need some guys this year. We can't keep having classes light at a position and saying that next year is loaded. Seems like next year is always loaded at corner. Maybe we get everybody next year maybe not, but we need to assume for now that we won't. So who's a take right now?

Take Nick Roberts, he's an EE who will be 17 when he enrolls at Miami. Ton of upside and the kid makes plays. They really should have been patient and evaluated him in the fall before telling him to look elsewhere. Hopefully both parties left the door open for a return. The "big" corners thing is overrated imo. Technique or Hips can wipe out a 3-4"height discrepancy real quick.

Latavious Brini has probably the highest ceiling of any CB in dade in 2017. I love his film. 6'2, 4.50, 197 pounds. Not afraid to hit either. I just don't think he's an "instant impact guy."

I'm sure he not going to be all American first day on campus . I hope young can make an impact next year . I think Edwards and Bandy can contribute next year .

Pete is a beast but let's not act like his evaluations have always been on point.

D$ and Lu are the guys to ask about this kid IMO.
