Blaming coaches for the wrong things.

okay not true?

if we are airing out dirty laundry well...

last year during practice, Briscoe got a concussion. coaches made him play through it until he got a really serious one.

to cover this up, they "switched" his position so that media won't question why he wasn't playing.

Briscoe's camp knew that he got hurt playing when he wasn't supposed to and were planning to sue Golden.

somehow Briscoe was so afraid of Golden that he talked his family out of it. This is the part I never understood.

Golden has the players scared of him somehow.

*I taught half the class of 2012 as a tutor last year.

****ing read that one to.

Messed up if true

Not about to take my eye off the product on the field with a bunch of National Enquirer style rumors. **** all the nonsense, these coaches suck, their philosophy sucks, they're playing the suckiest players, and they've convinced the players it's not on the individuals responsible (you know, the ones running the ******* team). Are you kidding me? What a clowncar of ****suckers running our program. I dont give a god **** about the gossip ****.

So do all of our players have handlers and "camps"? Even the ****** ones?

Tracy's mom sure seems upset at Golden with the way she talks about him. Duke's too.

Got this a few weeks ago, who it came from doesn't matter and the name(s) won't be said. Since there are 30 real people on this board I give zero *****.

ENJOY

More on Duke | Nov 4th

His surgery was today, I'll get a read out from sources later but here's a big chunk on Duke. But I had a long talk with someone close to him today and wanted to let you guys go behind the veil.

He actually wanted to leave Miami at several points and times last year. He's been very frustrated with the coaches during his tenure here and he's had people in his ear trying to keep him level headed and focused on the bigger prize. He's often had to take up for himself and less talented teammates. A text came in recently from Duke saying "I hate these F*(^*ing coaches" to a mentor. There's a lot going on behind the scenes.

To give you an example of the kind of thing he's gone through (all facts, no embellishing) here's a story:

Duke was injured because of blocking on a reverse earlier this year and Golden called him out in front of the whole team saying 'who told you to block like that?' Duke just looked at AG and was thinking to himself that that's the way the coaches at Miami instructed him to block. Golden then went on to say that Duke was always getting hurt and couldn't stay on the field. Right after that, Duke fired off the text above.

Duke's handlers had to continue to monitor his emotions all last season as he phoned numerous times about being very unhappy. The sense I'm continually getting is that Miami coaches have trouble connecting with certain players and treating them a bit harsh. Some may say it's football, but when your star player is saying he wants to transfer to West Virginia, that should be cause for concern. The south Florida athlete is a different kind of guy and I've seen that with my involvement and covering youth football.

Duke stayed on and just fought through stuff. He's being reminded about the bigger picture and he's definitely gone after next season, don't even think about him staying, it's confirmed. He's already tracking his draft status. He's telling people close to him that he's projected late first early second in the 2015 draft right now (pre-injury). He's determined to come back bigger, faster and stronger.

Ereck Flowers is also gone after this year. He really hates Miami. He doesn't want to even do media. He's on the first train smoking after his junior year.

I'll have more later but it's disheartening to hear some of this stuff, but I knew this was going on. Tracy Howard got into a major spat with Coach D'Onofrio last year and it kinda got viral. I learned about it and posted it hear. I now that Tracy does things like wave his hand at D'Onofrio when the coach tells him things. That's why after the two pick game Tracy had, D'Onofrio went out of his way to rip Tracy for other errors in the game, tackling. I knew there were back stories and didn't write about it. It's public knowledge they don't get along behind close doors but none of them will talk about it. It's a 'locker room' thing.

But expect Tracy to bolt also. If Miami doesn't win a championship, either ACC or BCS (or whatever the new title will be called) it will possibly be tough for a few years until the coffers are filled again because last years freshman class (2013) is disgruntled. It starts with the leaders, so it's likely a wide spread concern.

If you're calling out Duke Johnson, imagine what a fourth year walk on is treated like.

read this and go **** yourself

Duke has had one too many concussions if he thinks he's going in the top 45 picks; **** he'll be lucky to be gone by 100. Problem remains the same, too many kids looking forward to the NFL, ala Denzel that hasn't made a play in a month. Good for them. Say hi to Streeter for me.

If you want to blame them for poor recruiting on the Defense and part of the offense I can see. I have to give them a break for that too, with the NCAA on their backs for the past 3 years. But blaming the for not being good game day coaches seems kind of funny. I wouldn't draft one of those kids on defense, not one. Maybe some of the freshman will be a little better and the new class looks good but there just isn't much talent on this defense. They can't tackle or cover unless it's someone who is much less talented than them. We have one great player on the whole team and he's out. A few real good players, and maybe some young possibilities, it is what it is.

We have at least 8 future NFL players in our 2-deep. And, only 1 is a True Frosh. If you'd like to make some kind of wager on that, let me know.

Lu, you ALWAYS pull out that ridiculous statement. Who are these so called NFL players? Second, every major college team has a 5-10 "nfl"? Is forston considered and NFL player because he is on a practice squad and get a few reps when players go down? There a few elite players on this team. Duke and coley are potential 1st round picks. You love Erick Flowers but I haven't seen him do anything yet that has me believing he is elite. The are three players on defense that have elite potential, AQM and deon bush. Perryman is a good player and probably will make a good NFL LB but he isn't elite. Tracey Howard is close but he is a pure cover corner, not very stout vs the run.

Notice that all of those players are either freshman or sophomores and 2 didn't play today?

But the lack of elite players is problem number 1. The bigger issue is we have HUGE holes ate certain positions and no depth. We claim we are more talented than every team but renfrow couldn't sniff field at UVA and he is ducking starting! Gaines, Cornelius, highsmith, Rodgers, Shayon, porter, Robinson are all not even at JAG level. They might, might start at lower tier div 1 teams.

That's what we are playing with. So you can talk your scheme bull**** up a tree...man, zone, disguising, stemming, blitzing, bla bla. You are limited in what you can do with the ****** players we have. Plain and simple. End of story

i'd hope we can get 8 nfl players off this team. ****, shields/Sharpton are on teams and they were meh here.

coley/duke/DP (sorry as it sounds now)/SH/Tracy/Dorsett/Dallas/Hurns ND A FEW MORE WILL MAKE TEAMS
