Correct. Our school has proven to make some of the worst and most illogical hires, as per their actual track record.

When this all shakes out anyone that denies that Herbstreit was a real catalyst on this front is an idiot. Obviously continued failure trumps everything but never underestimate how much this administration didn't like and wasn't used to being called out nationally.

Would rather give Lashlee the keys as interim HC but I doubt he'd accept because he knows we're not hiring another 1st time head coach. Just hope he likes it here because it would be amazing to have him as OC in 2022. We hire a defensive minded HC, he needs to stay, if he somehow wind up with a Kiffin type offensive genius, I doubt he's invited back

I’m fine with Lashlee, I just don’t want a rushed pretend HC search. Whatever gives the new AD room to do a proper search is cool with me. I would think Lashlee would take the temp job, why not? If he does well he looks good as a future HC, if not, who could salvage this train wreck anyway?
