I really don't think an interim coach will work as I'm thinking about it though. Because it would mean that we'd essentially lose 2 recruiting classes due to uncertainty. Our 2022 class is going to be terrible due to the AD/CMD fallout, and if Lashlee were interim the kids aren't going to commit to him knowing that there's a good chance he will not be around in 2023.
 
Purinton is and has been the top target for some time when the understanding was made months ago about BJ. He’s reached his ceiling at Alabama. Unfortunately the FSU job is his if he wants (already relayed his interest) as Coburn is about to move on. Coburn’s hook into his gig at the time was simple cronyism in regards to Thrasher.

Dad is retiring from Duke at EOY. The other in the family is Brian White AD at FAU…I’ve brought his name up a few times weeks ago. Wouldn’t be a bad look at.

Jurich would be my first choice.

This is a great day for Miami Football & all Hurricane sports. The job that was done under BJ was so poor that things literally have to turn up from here.

Maggard was the worst. Eichorst was second worst. Beta Blake was third worst.

But if you did a weighted-average calculation, Beta Blake did his damage over more years. I still rank Maggard as the worst (cutting certain men's sports programs is unforgiveable), but Beta Blake edges out the Shermanator for HOW MUCH damage was done on his watch.
