I thought about Brock vs UF. I was actually at that game. OB was rocking. Brock's 2nd half was one of the best ever, but i'd put it a hair below the Edge, Sean Taylor, McGahee performances.

Agreed. The circumstances elevate Brock's performance for sure. Beard was a beast that night too.

Ted Hendricks against UF and Steve Spurrier. Didn't Spurrier get so mad he threw the ball at Hendricks?

Just read Hendricks sacked Spurrier 7 times that day, and it was the weekend after Spurrier won the Heisman. Miami won, 21-16. Sure wish there was film of that game somewhere.

I was in the Navy for the 66 season. However, in 67 I sat in a sea of gator fans in the OB. While we were kicking gator *** once again, the gator girl next to me said "too bad we don't have Spurrier this year". I not so gently reminded her that Spurrier got his *** kicked too. I don't remember her or her beta boyfriend saying another word before they left early.

Except UCLA's defense was a total fraud. Ron Dayne also brutalized them in the Rose Bowl.
