Best Single Game Performance By a UM Player?

Edge UCLA for a few reasons
- Total yards
- UCLA had a good shot to play the title game

Biggest reason - We had just lost to the cuse 66-13 and alot of people had jumped off the bandwagon
- this game more than any other game gave the fans hope we were back

Seems to be between Edge vs UCLA & Sean Taylor vs FSU. Personally, I might go with ST vs FSU because he looked like a **** alien out there surrounded by humans (and wilfork lol) but Edge in 98 was unreal too. McGahee's 6 touchdowns vs VT as someone said earlier was unreal too.

Devin Hester, Devin Hester, Devin Hester HANDS DOWN!!! PICK ONE!!! I LIKE THE DUKE RETURN!

Everyone seems to forget about that great game Morris had against Maryland. Me included.

I've watch a lot of canes games going back Decades, but Edge handling UCLA that day was simply astonishing. UCLA was challenging for a National Championship at the time..

Certainly not our Offensive Line in October this season.

All good nominations but Edge is what immediately popped into my mind before opening thread. Solely off of the type of game and us not being great while ruining UCLA's season.

Morris had one good play vs. Maryland. His stats were ok. He threw a horrible pick 6.
Berlin had a good half against UF, his first half was HORRIBLE.
Duke had a great game against VT, but not better than Edge vs. UCLA or Willis vs. UF in 2002 based on those opponents and what was at stake.
Winslow had a great game vs. WVU in '03, but it's remembered as more than it was because of the amazing catch

I'll go with Loftus. He managed to slide out and down the sidelines benches w/o getting any slivers.

Edge vs UCLA for all the reasons mentioned, still remember Covington getting carried off the field and pretending to pop a beer and chug it.

"We dictated the momentum on offense. We rolled on them," McNown said after completing 26-of-35 passes as the Bruins totaled 670 yards but ave up 689.

He's salty.

Great read.

Was watching a Sean Taylor Tribute vid & they showed highlights from his insane game in Tallahassee in the rain.
I started wondering was that the best single game performance by an individual Cane?
Some that came to mind:

- Sean Taylor in 2003 vs FSU
- Edgerrin James in 1998 vs UCLA
- Bernard Clark in 1989 vs Notre Dame
- Willis McGahee in 2002 vs Virginia Tech

What are some others that come to mind and what do you all think was the best single game performance by a Miami Hurricane?

I know we all want to forget about the Golden era but Duke Johnson is one of the greatest RB to play at the U.

Duke Johnson in 2014 against Virgina Tech.
29 Attempts 249 yards 8.6 average 1 TD rushing 2 Rec 37 Rec Yards 18.5 Rec Avg 1 TD.
