2025 Ben Hanks Jr 4* CB from Booker T Commits to the Gator

Why would anything change? I highly doubt recruits commit to a school "hoping" the coach they just committed to gets fired.....

There are alot of NFL dudes though that come to college and cant recruit for **** lol. You either have it or you dont, I think alot has to do with the parents liking you as a person
A big aspect of that is in the NFL you are asked to coach and coach only. In college you are basically the CEO of the entire program. You are the HC, the GM and the fundraiser. The entire program takes on your vision and personality, which is different than in the NFL. This is where Saban excelled, he was a very good gameday coach but he was even better at talent acquisition and then he was probably the GOAT at top to bottom program prep and development. This was understanding things from A to Z, what is the nutrition program, what is the day to day regiment for the kids which includes any and all support. Nobody came more prepared into gameday than that midget and his squad.

Remember the story of Tyson Campbell and Pat Surtain? Didnt @RattlerCane305 tells us that Miami couldnt even tell his nephew where he would be living on campus when he visited? How you think a Bama visit and presentation was put together? Parents walked away knowing it was a different ball game even if it was KKK country. Its what Mario has started to do here. Its not just one on one time with the kids and texting them nonstop. Its attention to detail regarding the kid, what are their interests, what is their family background, and what is important to them.

When you have to give someone the dreaded vote of confidence, you're just delaying the execution. Question only now of when and not if.

Nothing changes....not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Status quo was/is regular visits to the Gables and UM games.
Has he even been to a UF game since the opener against Miami? Meanwhile he has attended multiple Miami home games. I know he lives in SFL but still you would think he would have made it to at least 1 other UF game rather than attending our games.

because you are going by what they do in HS instead of transitioning them to College ball and the speed of the game. Its different than HS so alot of guys wont work out, it happens all the time at UGA and Bama where guys who were rated high cant handle the speed of the game and they transfer out. Then when those kids go to FSU or wherever that fan base thinks they are getting a difference maker and they aren't that at all. You have to hoard that top talent so the misses wont hit you harder PAUSE. So you have to get DJ and Hanks just in case other guys aint it, for example Stafford will never see the field here possibly and lots of people were high on him ( I wasn't) I dont care if he made 30 HS all star games that doesn't mean a thing.

This is why the class at that spot is underwhelming, you cant let DJ be Jeremiah and go to LSU. You cant allow that. What if he becomes a shut down corner? That by itself can help this team tremendously next season, and if our guys aren't difference makers we will be in the same spot next season defensively, because one top player can change a defense entirely.
Facts!

I think the law in Mississippi is public employees may not have an employment contract longer than four years. Lane, of course, is a state of Mississippi employee. They have to keep extending him, even though his salary is in the 8-9 million range.

I might be wrong, but that’s my recollection.

They figured out a workaround several years ago. Lane Train is employed by the Ole Miss Athletic Foundation.

All that sounds good today. If Lagway doesn’t play, they could loose by 30+. If that happens Saturday and or next Saturday does this tone continue?
