- Miami is making very good progress with Gator commit CB Ben Hanks (Booker T). He remains the highest of priorities.

@DMoney is our guy of course but i just have a very hard time believing there is a real chance to flip this kid from the Gators as a legacy.

For the second straight home game, Ben Hanks Jr. was in the stands and the local cornerback continues to be impressed by what the Hurricanes are doing.

"I'm just continuing to keep coming, seeing the program, see the program get better and better each week. I like everything they're doing right now," Hanks said. "The [defensive backs] definitely had a good game. The defensive line did their job, the DB's did their job, so I feel like they worked hand in hand as a whole team." - InsideTheU's Recruit reactions

I’m just happy to see Lagway get the keys (sad for Mertz in the mean time) to the offense but that’s the other reason Napier annoys me; Lagway would still be getting 3 series a game had Mertz not have gotten hurt and had Trell not have gotten hurt, Baugh would still be getting 5-7 carries. Hate coaches who only play the better players only after an injury occurs. A happy accident.

Both say miami seems to have the momentum here. Big factor is the sister playing volleyball. Apparently that is still not finalized due to a "numbers situation" , whatever that means... Should Napier be fired they believe Hanks and family may give the new staff a chance but that they would have to be shown how he would fit in a new defense, etc. Bottom line - they aren't confident he sticks in the class at all.
