I know we are supposed to hate the Gators and believe me I do..but lets not get crazy here to the folks who say Ole Miss is a better job than UF. LOL. Lets not get too carried away. Ole Miss is a dead end job. They will never win the SEC anytime this century. (this was their best shot in years and they are going to lose at least one more game guaranteed). Gators isnt a good job TODAY, but its been proven you can win at least SEC titles at UF. That hasnt been proven at Ole Miss even when they had Eli Manning.

Now all this said, Lane would be crazy to leave Ole Miss for UF. If he doesnt win the SEC title by his 3rd or 4th year they will sour on him even if he wins 10 games a year. Ask Dan Mullen. As long as he keeps Ole Miss competitive they couldnt care less about SEC titles let alone national titles.

Difficult to see Hanks flipping unless Miami’s NIL offer is too good to pass up.​

Napier may make it for one more season since the Gators have improved a bit, nearly beat Tennessee, and beat the crap out of UCF and Kentucky. The latter games aren’t exactly big wins, but Kentucky did beat Ole Miss, and Tennessee just beat Bama. The Gators aren’t going to beat Georgia, Texas, or LSU. Might beat Ole Miss, and should beat Florida State to finish 5-7 or 6-6.​

Napier’s large buyout may give him a one-year reprieve.​
