Yes.
And let's review the numbers again:

The Gator fans talk as if they will offer Kiffin so much money. BUT HOW MUCH?
1. Kiffin is ALREADY paid $9M per year, and there are only 8 coaches getting paid MORE than Kiffin right now.
2. The #1 and #2 guys on the list have WON TWO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS APIECE. Which explains the pay gap there.
3. The highest-paid coach who has NOT won a championship is Sarkisian at #3, and he is paid $10.6 M per year.
4. There are SIX coaches who have not won a title who are paid more than Kiffin.
So let's think about this. To make Kiffin the HIGHEST-PAID non-title-winning head coach means...a raise of $1.7 M. And even if you argue that "Florida has no state income tax", the tax rate in Mississippi is only 4.7%. It's not like Kiffin is in California or New York.
Will Florida offer a salary beyond any other head coach in college football, including Dabo and Kirby? It seems unlikely. I mean...WHY?
In Power 5, Lane Train has maxed out at 10 regular season wins (three times, once at USC and twice at Ole Miss). Why would you pay a guy MORE than Dabo and Kirby who has NEVER won more than 10 regular season games (and I'll even include FAU in that mix)?
I don't think the Florida boosters will do it. They won't surpass Dabo/Kirby for a 10-win-max guy, no matter how desperate they are.
And if Lane Train is only offered an extra million or two to jump to Florida...is it even worth it?
