Beau Sandland Transfering

how can you bail on ur team a week before the season.. im all for a guy doing whats best for him but transfer before fall ball or after spring ball.. you bailed on ur brothers

see ya Beau

I may be wrong, but there may be advantages to getting your release before the season starts. Maybe in terms of when you become eligible to play again or some such. I seem to remember that when Vernon Davis transferred a couple of years ago, there were advantages to doing so BEFORE the season started.

Another guy this board crowned before he had even enrolled.
Guilty. I know the whole JUCO thing and all that but kid looked and acted like he was going to be a player. Now the Shockey stuff was dumb but still, I thought he would be a pass catching threat for sure. It's funny because I remember thinking the same things about him and Jaelen Strong and I wanted them both.....Strong is an NFL guy and Sandland is a nobody. Go figure.

Didnt Taylor Cook and Cannon Smith do the same thing right before the season started?

*on the surface this looks like a *****made move. He was in the rotation. Won't be different in the NFL.

i guess know why Njoku was moved back to offense so fast lol

Knew that last week when Al Golden specifically said in an interview that we moved him back because his mentality fits offense better, and they tried him at linebacker because they know he will be gaining weight, perhaps up to 250, and that means either H-Back or linebacker.

Literally nothing to do with Sandland.

Nope. Njoku is nowhere near ready for TE

I think this kid was severly under-utilized. His highlight film, and even the few times he touched the ball here, showed that the kid was awesome with YAC...

Yes his blocking could have been better, but has anyone seen Clive Walford's blocking. Matter of fact, Walford will let Rudy talckle him without a doubt.

We have alot of receivers, but the kid is in his SR year... They could have gone to the drawing board and designed some specific plays to take advantage of this weapon.

One guy doesn't stop a show, and we'll move on, but im a little disappointed abt the staff not stepping to the plate a little better for this guy.

Yes, they did, Smith to Memphis and Cook to Rice. Talked to a former Memphis player on a plane and he laughed about Cannon, but was highly impressed with Williams.

Maybe, just maybe, the staff evaluated what he brought to the table ( a few catches for the year), and figured that the scholie would be best used against the NCAA penalties.

I hate to see Sandland leave. Still think he is a a solid pass catching TE.

Sure hope Dobard can step up this season. Unlike the Gary Wright's of this forum. I have no faith in Walford blocking our catching ability.
