Battle's OSU Visit

Yep it's a real shame. When's the last time OSU had to "steal" a prospect that went to high school in Columbus (or in a 50 mile radius) from another school that was more than 1000 miles away?
When was the last time that you posted something that wasn't "pro" OSU? Better yet, when was the last time that you posted something that was actually "pro" Miami?

That's our phucking dilemma! The top players within 50 miles of osu, baga and gawga are loyal to their community schools. Our boys are swayed by anybody with promises of stardom and a few dollars. Dude we champs if these guys rep their hood! You can clearly see they all need our boys. Our boys don't seem able to see they can win at home.
I dont understand why most cant comprehend this... yes all the schools you mentioned (and most powerhouses by the way)have kids that are quote unquote loyal to them. However its not just the school they are loyal too. With alot of these schools they get the option to be loyal & play close to home or at the school they grew up liking etc & still reap the rewards of their recruitment. THIS IS RECRUITING... its a HUGE BUSINESS and most universities in p5 conferences play it because they are willing to accept the risk involved to win on the biggest stage & to reap the financial rewards associated with winning huge... but not every school has the same network in place. Hence the same possibilities. Im not gonna elaborate beyond that cause it really shouldnt take a scholar to follow along.

Pro OSU? Lol please show me in my history that I'm pro OSU. That's a first lol.

I'm sorry forgot this site's rule that I must post something positive about um every three posts.

Why would you post a f'ucking sales pitch for Alabama on a Miami website? Seriously, what the f'uck?
Because their trolls are everywhere and as we become a better team the efforts will increase. I’ve always said that some people on here are not who they say they are. Pumping Bama and osu coaches and now uga. No true fan would ever say some ish like that.
Now we’re getting the UT mf’ers in here talking about Bogle and how awesome Pruitt’s game is and how you can’t get N trouble in Knoxville.

This is the part of the equation too many Miami fans seem to miss. It's not like these top schools are only paying for Out Of State kids. Even "loyal" Ohio kids expect bags.

Elite Kids that want to get paid will. Whether it's by the home team or an OOS team.

Brook do you agree that the longer a recruit takes to commit, the more likely it is that he's looking for bags? I'm convinced it's the reason we struggle so much around signing day. The price for these kids just keeps going up.

The thread was about a player leaning to osu even though he's here. If he was leaning towards bama or Clemson I would've said the same thing. Find another pro Osu post as you deem it.

When u talk about elite kids 7 out of 10 yes thats the reason. However there are kids that are simply torn or indecisive still as well. Picking a college is a huge choice for a kid(stress the word KID)to make. Most cant comprehend what goes into it as most who attend college simply look for a certain major or minor etc. A good business program whatever the case may be. A athlete has the same decision times ten. All while being actively pulled in all different directions by coaches, strangers, friends, family, perks etc. ***** rough on a kid without a real strong support system.

That makes sense, and I appreciate you sharing your opinion. It's definitely not an easy decision, and adding money to the equation doesn't help.

It also makes our staffs job more difficult. They need to identify which kids are playing games and which are actually torn. I'm sure not every kid is transparent or sure of what decision they will ultimately make. I'm thankful for the early signing period, as it gives us a chance to see what a kid is all about before it's too late.

Nadab Joseph last cycle was a perfect example of an elite kid who we didn't recruit even though he was in our backyard. The way his recruitment went down it was pretty clear he was chasing bags. So out staff crossed him off the board early and moved on.

Bill Greene just posted “The Battle is over” and that he expects it out sometime this week. Says Battle is going to do a commitment video so they have to prepare that first.

Oh well.
