Aside from the 566 yards and 5 TDs..,

Sorry I'm with money

Poor and so was our rushing game. less than 100 yards in unacceptable flat out. Defense still is weak and Fisch is not good with play call selection. Very frustrating!

Just so you know I'm being sarcastic.

Its like people forget all his great throws he has throughout the game. Yes, he misses some throws but he creates a lot of big plays with his arm. Glad to be riding shotgun with you D$

Last Miami Qb that makes that last throw?

No idea. I would guess the last QB to have that type of arm is Vinnie but I may be forgetting someone.

No way he'd pull it off but Kyle Wright, theoretically, could have pulled off a pass like that.

There's guys with the arm strength maybe, but then you add in the juke, you lose some.

I really don't know.

Regardless of whether you like or dislike Morris as the QB, it doesn't make sense that he can't make a lot of simple short and intermediate throws. His accuracy on what should be easy completions is mind-bogglingly spotty, and he tends to stare down receivers and stick to his primary read.

With that being said, having the ability to throw a deep strike at just about any moment more than negates his other issues.

as golden said a little while ago, gotta focus on the positives and not the negatives.

has he improved? yes. a lot fewer bad passes than at K State and less than less week. he corrected some of the technique errors of last week and he is now throwing the long ball very well, which he was not doing a few games ago.

has he played well in the clutch? yes.

is he a leader? yes.

not perfection, but progress. and we are 4-1. finding a way to win. plus, how many of these guys are coming back next year and the year after that?

**** yeah. Big pressure on him, ONE INT at any point in the late 3rd and 4th and it was over. That weird, Coker/Shannon type 3rd down play when he ran out of bounds with 5 minutes left was baffling, and he missed a few throws, but ****, we have been asking a Canes QB to hit our **** recievers deep for like 10 years now to no avail, and he did that in spades!

Had our TEs caught a couple TD passes, and/or Wieclaw not stick it to us, and we pull away early.

I was a critic of Morris, but he is indefatigable. Came up big, time and time again, and has won two big ACC games in a row for us.

Man I can't believe people actually bit on this troll effort haha nice work OP. Morris had an incredible game, could even improve during the middle portion of the game, and threw an insane TD to win the game. Back-to-back great games to watch with no drop in play from the emotional GT game last week(see GT's results today) and I couldn't ask for more. BTW Morris threw that last pass from around his own 30 and the ball was caught inside the 10 so that pass went for over 60 yards on the fly.

Admittedly a Morris hater here, but this was his best game as a Cane. He hit the deep throws, was able to extend plays with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield, got rid of the ball instead of taking sacks, and showed real command (How many times did he get them to jump offsides?)

I don't put a lot of stock in the stats cause we didn't run and our D is Swiss cheese so he gets more possessions and quicker, but stats aside he sued a great game today.

I think people get more frustrated with the EASY throws he misses on, especially in the redzone.

Morris played well for 2 quarters. The first and the last. Give him props. He came up HUGE in crunch time. He is getting it done.

Well said.

You guys are insane. Who cares if he can't hit the side of the barn on some throws, when he can wing it 65 in the air and on the money. He's a work in progress, but he's got a lot of tools.

He seems to be improving every week, he stepped into the pocket better today, still stares down WR's too often, but **** dude has a cannon. I actually wish he would run a little more and learn to slide.

Sometimes I was completely disgusted, others overly impressed. It was a tough win, I cannot lie. Then again, the numbers don't lie. He made big plays and made enough of them to win and set program records. Are we getting better? Yes. Are we there yet? No... But we're getting there. And it's exciting to watch, if not a little maddening at times.

I'm in it for the haul even if it kills me. Upshot is, these kids are too. They never stopped. Two weeks, they didn't stop.
