The NCAA's Executive Committee has reaffirmed its confidence in the leadership of President Mark Emmert

NCAA Executive Committee is demanding a thorough examination and improvement of processes, policies, procedures and investigative tools.

MSU's Dr. Lou Anna Simon: "Mark Emmert was hired to lead a major transformation of the NCAA. Much has been accomplished without fanfare."

Dr. Simon says: "...the road to transformational change is often bumpy and occasionally controversial."
The NCAA Executive Committee (powerful presidents) discussed the Miami situation and Mark Emmert on Friday.

Dr. Simon: "We demand the highest level of integrity and accountability not only from our peers but also from the national office."

Does this suggest the exec committee might be open to a settlement now?

That's odd. I could have sworn she said "blah blah blah blah blah"... and the rest of the usual meaningless shìt.

if they're "reaffirming their confidence in Emmert", I'm guessing the opposite.

how is the NCAA structured? Infractions, Executive committee, COI,......? Can someone give a simple breakdown of the structure?

Sounds much more like we're going to war, to me. Dr. lou Albano sounds like a psychathic revolutionary. The road to transformational change can be controversial? What 'transformational' change is she speaking about? And the 'controversy' she is attempting to justify with that comment is illegality, corruption and a watch-hunt. There is no explaining her comments other than as those of someone in need of a keel hauling.

So each of the Presidents in the Executive Committee would be fine with NCAA Enforcement's actions were it aimed at their school?

Fat chance.

Lol...at the Lou Albano reference. DS needs to get Washington involved in a very public way now. The time for extreme arm twisting has come.

NCAA Executive Committee "endorses" Emmert, confirms it is clueless, and it doesn't understand the meaning of "accountability." Laughable. Let's get this straight: NCAA's problems were all Julie Roe Lach's fault? She's the only one fired, so it must have been ALL her. Lame.

SJU's Orlando Sanchez held accountable for three minutes by NCAA: http://nyti.ms/Xsz3US NCAA Prez not accountable for three years. Wow.

The NCAA still supports the NCAA, in other words? I'm releasing a statement later today reaffirming my commitment to myself.

At this point in the debacle Emmert has to go down with the ship a la that CPT Edward Smith on the Titanic. Now we need to see if Miami admin spent the quiet time wisely preparing for nuclear warfare. Litigation, criminal extortion charges, FL unfair trade, fraud, and drum roll... have the feds to drop a RICO Charge on them.

Buncha slackjawed ***gots on that committee. 15 academics and an AD.

Half the presidents are from DII and III schools.

This is the sort of thing I was concerned about when I questioned the BOT statement yesterday. They pretty much forced the NCAA to issue a vote of confidence, because the alternative was not viable. The problem is, people get dug in on their views once they go public. Not sure the public battle is one UM should want. Our goal is to put this behind us, not reform the NCAA.

being facetious... Need to drop a big bomb against not just the sensationalism against Miami, but the criminal sh%t. The NCAA is the epitome of cronyism and that fiefdom is not backing down. We need to be creative because the 1st settlement opportunity failed. Admin needs to bring it in a big way.

There's reason the public vote of confidence has earned the moniker 'dreaded'.

IDGAF if Emmert stays or goes, but there's an awful lot of chatter out there.
