ESPN’s Jay Bilas, a vocal critic of the NCAA, said by phone Wednesday that one problem is “the NCAA has no standard of proof, and the committee on infractions can believe whatever it wants and can believe whatever bad evidence it chooses.

“That’s no way to conduct a system of justice. It’s absurd. I believe there should be a serious negotiation undertaken to resolve this, and that the matter should be settled as you would in a civil case.”

That's what I'm most afraid of.

The NCAA can put the burden of proof on Miami to prove that these things didn't happen instead of the NCAA proving that they actually did happen.
 
Carrying into October would have an affect on another recruiting class for more bull**** negative recruiting. Pedo state was a special case for expedition I don't see why Miami's case isn't with the NCAA's LOIC on their own part

None of it matters at this point. This whole COI stage is nothing but a sham and a formality. The ncaa eviscerated and castrated itself on this case, and there's no way in **** that they'll run the rest of this process. President Shalala's driving the bus now because she holds all the cards. She told them what it will take for them to avoid further embarrassment and humiliation--no further sanctions. It's now up to the COI to rubber stamp Don Shalala's edict or get dragged through the mud like a cave girl *****.

I am completely at ease because the ncaa's blatantly and pervasively corrupt and illegal actions in this case will get their case tossed out in its entirety and cost them some money to boot should this matter to the next step.

how incompetent can you possibly be that it takes two to four months to type a report of a decision you made "after dinner". Everything this organization does is a joke.

The NCAA hasn't handed down anything yet. The punishment still has to be determined and the committee who handles that could decide that the report is off base and/or we have already served enough. Now if that committee hammers us, then yes, your argument makes sense.

It doesn't matter. NCAA is simply trying to act like they're still in charge and that they hold the cards in order to save face. There's been a complete shift in power here due to the NCAA's pervasively corrupt and illegal fake investigation. Not only did they break their own rules, but they also broke the law. They paid a convicted liar to be their star witness, paid his attorney to perpetrate a fraud on the federal bankruptcy court and extorted former players.

And those are only the things we know about. As I've been aksing for the past couple days: How did Pig ***** Perez rack up $57K in attorney's fees representing the ncaa when all the ncaa is investigating relative to her is a 4 hour deposition? What did she do in the other 200 hours that she billed to them?
