All-Time Miami-Dade Football Team

Nate Webster was a legend in Liberty City.

I Still remember saving that Herald Article that he had a spread in with him in front of his MNW helmet in my bedroom might have put it on my wall. I wanted to go to MNW so badddd...but we moved to Broward like everyone else around that time lol
Yeah he definitely was. But you talking about a specific team from the west that geno beat...

Here’s my offense was even harder than defense to decide on some people.

- Offense
QB Jacory Harris (Northwestern 2008)
RB Frank Gore (Coral Gables 2001)
RB Freddie Miles (Springs 1980)
WR Andre Johnson (Miami 1999)
WR Aldarius Johnson (Northwestern 2008)
ATH Duke Johnson (Norland 2012)
OL Vernon Carey (Northwestern 1999)
OL Rudy Barber (Carol City 1989)
OL Lomas Brown (Springs 1981)
OL Steve Everitt (Southridge 1988)
OL ? Who’s someone I’m missing here (Ben Jones at MNW 08 was good but not on these other guys level.)

- Offense Honorable Mentions
QB Ethenic Sands (Carol City 1998)
RB Dalvin Cook (Central 2014)
RB Willis McGahee (Central 2000)
RB Bobby Washington (Killian 2004)
A whole lot of other RBs and WRs are close…

(The amount of honorable mentions that could be put at RB and WR is hard to fathom but I had to mention these three. Sands also had one of the best prep careers of any HS player ever in Dade as far as accomplishments. Davis bros at Southridge too. I’ll probably take a lot of heat putting Aldarius Johnson over some other WRs but in high school he was THAT guy. I thought he was the next Dre.)
You're missing Downtown Eddie Brown !!!!!

Marcus Fortson and Sean Spence should be on all time miami dade teams. Dade kinda weak at DT
I had Forston on my 1st team defense. He was a stud. Lester Williams of course is a legend. Still can’t believe Forston didn’t turn into an All-American for us and go on as a 1st rounder.

I have nothing but love for Sean Spence he was one bad dude at MNW and for us. But as far as it goes the best he can be is an honorable mention. No one touches or even comes close to the 4 mentioned: WW, Shadetree, Lamont Green and Nate. They’re in a league of their own.

A guy that hasn’t been mentioned yet is Randal Hill. Originally a CB at Killian ended up at WR for us obviously. Never forget the Texas cotton bowl blowout win.

Sean don't even sniff an all Dade team. You aging yourself with these selections of yours bruh. Who u gonna take Sean over? Marcus u can atleast make a case for. Also we talking bout high school. What makes you think we don't just play 4 monster ends? I'd put some though into specifically tackles if necessary. So what position you putting Sean at for y'all? Lmao. When I say Sean it ain't Spence...
Lamont Green.

It would be 3 MNW lbs starting.

Lamont didn't go to the west. He went to south ridge. Marvin Jones is the only lber from the west who should start. I'd be fine with Nate too. For me it's Willie,Lamont and Marvin... Second team would be nasty too.

Im saying Lamont wouldnt be on my team...it would be Sean Spence....which would lead to Marvin Jones, Nate Webster, and Sean Spence as the starting backers....all from 71st.

Lamont would be on the honorable mention list for me.

I remember as a kid he would be int he Herald and stuf fbut i just never watched much down south football...and he has that bust stench on him. I knew he was a heralded recruit though. I only remember his play at fsu.

As a HS player it goes:
Willie Williams
Marvin Jones
Lamont Green
Nate Webster

(Then a very large gap from 4-5 and it’s still not gonna be Sean Spence. Like I said I have nothing but love for Spence he was a fine player but Keith Carter, Matthew Thomas and someone everyone is forgetting to mention is James Burgess. Burgess didn’t really pan out for us but was a very highly regarded recruit. Everyone thought he was gonna be the savior at LB after Barrow, Smith and Armstead left.

I remember a story of someone going to watch one of the early practices in 93 that was open to the public. He went to watch Jammi German and James Burgess to see what all the hype was about. But what he discovered was there was another true FR on the team that looked to be not only the best FR on the team but what he described looked to be hands down the best player on the team. Said he was all over the field lighting people up! Anyone care to guess who that was? That’s right some skinny kid named Ray Lewis.

It’s okay to say “I was too young to really remember Lamont Green at Southridge”. Lol. Anyone who saw those Southridge teams in 92-93 knows that Lamont Green, the Davis Brothers and Sedrrick Irvin took a back seat to nobody.

I would argue losing Lamont Green on NSD to FSU was probably a Top 5 worst day in recruiting in UM history because it was a domino effect. Every elite kid from Dade followed him that year..He took Magic Benton, Samari Rolle, and Troy Saunders with him. I was so sick that morning after I called in to the Bill Buckhalter dial in recruiting show when he did that automated voice telling you who signed where for the Orlando sentinel that I called out from work. Was too sick.

If it wasn’t for Omar Rolle committing to us that day it would have EASILY been the worst recruiting day in my lifetime. Dennis wouldn’t have survived that aftermath in this era.

Stop it....Spence over Lamont??...Nah Man....and I Loved Spence....

Whoever said Ricky Sealey that was a good one too. He would be up there.. He should have been a Cane but his **** mama wanted his sorry brother Morris Sealey to be a package deal and we wasn’t having it. So they went to Auburn. Smh.

Sealy has Absolutely no business whatsoever being a LBer on an Dade All Time team....Nowhere near Nate...Shadetree or Willie Williams....that's so Ridiculous I honestly don't even know where to begin...
Willie
Nate
Shadetree.....Those are without ANY Question, are Dades All Time starting LBers....

Lol. Relax. The Mount Rushmore is already set in stone. We taking pics of it and enjoying the view. Lol. We talking other Dade greats at LB outside of them. Sealey would be in that second tier with James Burgess, Jeffery Taylor and I’ll throw Spence in there.

Easily one of the worst if not the worst recruiting days in Miami history. Had Lamont picked Miami we would’ve gotten Benton, Rolle, Saunders etc.. maybe Davis comes who knows. On top of that at that time Lamont was being looked at as basically the next Marvin Jones but was supposed to be even better. He was USA National DPOY and a lot of people considered him to be a Cane lock for the longest time.

People thought him and James Burgess was going to be the best thing since Jesus Christ. It would’ve been very interesting to see how things could’ve played out if we got Lamont as well.
