If we have ALREADY offered (roughly) double what Oklahoma is offering, AND we have a better OL and better TEs and better RBs and (potentially) better WRs, and Mateer STILL picks Oklahoma because of a coach he's known for 2 years and a coach he's known for 1 year and his family is only two hours away...

Lord help the kid, then. Because he is clearly not thinking this through from a logical standpoint.

Nobody knows the true NIL numbers, and quite frankly who cares. The main point is that we land him. Our staff knows the market better than any fan or journalist. $6 Million might not be true, but the point is we have an aggressive offer. I trust our staff

Ok, but our coach had a Heisman finalist. How about yours? Other fanbases always say Miami “lives in the past,” but these folks are literally talking about the previous coach that booked it out of Norman the first chance he had. They despise Lincoln but want to take credit for his success. I love it.
 
Anyone who comes on a message board claiming to have accurate NIL numbers for a kid can immediately be dismissed as a fraud.

Honestly even if they're right. If you're the kind of person that has information about a kid's financials and your first reaction is to post them all over a message board, you're simply a lousy person.

When the "They arent relevant"...."They play in the ACC"...."They didnt even make the CFP or win their conference with the best QB in America" talk starts to come out..you KNOW they are nervous. They know something is up.

I think it was a shot at SMU being there the first year they are in the conference, but they aren't smart enough to know SMU was an American Conference team not MWC team.
