I understand the desire to be close to home and with coaches he’s familiar with, but I would think it’s worth giving that up for a school that may just give you the better chance at being a Heisman finalist and first round pick (and likely a better supporting cast but tbd on that).

Probably OU. I seen where they said where he is from is only like 2 1/2 hours from OU. You pair that with the familiarity of the coaches and offense and I think it’s probably too much to beat out

Gaby said last week that he talked to a defensive player's agent, and the first thing he asked about was Miami's plan at QB.

We really need to land Mateer. If we roll with Emory, its going to hurt us with a lot of these guys.

Build enough talent around Emory to compensate for any shortcomings in his QB play. Invest NIL money in the defense instead of spending $4 million on Mateer. Focus on building a solid team around Emory and prepare him to lead us in 2025. We do nothing spending that much on one player IMO.

While the QB is indeed the most important position, this year should teach us that without a more complete team, we aren't winning crap.
