Not if we had invested heavily in a back 7. Also, there aren't any Cam Wards coming down the pike. Now might be a good time to build the rest of the team, instead of putting a bandaid on a bullet hole.

Yes, without Cam we lose more games, no doubt. I just don't see a Cam Ward out there right now.

Emory could be a good QB down the stretch but this is why you have to get a prized QB1.

If your strategy is to load from the portal (which it is this year) you’ve got to have something to convince the top players to come, Williams is not moving the needle. At all.

The Ward process, even if in the end has been very successful, has cost us Jeremiah Smith and god only knows how many transfers we probably wanted early in the first window.

Mario needs to move fast now.

Mauigoa took a significant step back. I feel like the DBs just made everything look way worse but I def had way bigger expectations for the DL for sure. Don't think Bain was ever fully healthy this yr. Atleast I hope that's what it was

i know
ideally that would be the case
and roll with the younger guys
but after ESD and lack of movement so far in the portal
im starting to think that the only way to field a decent team next year is to once again have a qb that can mask our problems
while he isnt cam, hes mutliple levels above any qb we have currently

Dbs were beyond atrocious. OJ was our best db and he got worked against Cuse. Bain for sure wasn’t healthy all year but he looked slow and out of shape. Barrow was probably our best DL and best played on D. I really thought the DL would bail out of the rest of the d. Obviously I was wrong.
