No, absolutely not. But I can see us having a better season than OU, Mateer or not.

this kid was going to OU all day... made the decision a while ago and just stuck with it. Our hope/optimism was more based on him NOT committing to OU than anything else.

How does Baker Mayfield have more sway over this kid than Cam Ward?

Kid just wanted to go to OU and having his OC there made it a perfect fit for him...

It’s been two different ways to get to the same destination

Manny was always fly by the seat of his pants. No plan. Quick decisions and band aids. No real foundation for success other than catching lightning in a bottle

Mario probably has 47 vision boards and a binder that would make Al Golden whimper. We’ve got more resources mobilized and things in place at the foundational level

But end of the day we still ain’t winning **** just depends what you want it to look like

There shouldn’t be blind support but Investors don’t stop investing because they lose money on 1 investment unless they consider themselves an “investor” because they made a few dollars on ETrade with Meme stocks.

I’m sure MasTech has enthusiastically started different lines of business within their company that they eventually closed and wrote down. Maybe some of them were even led by fellow Columbros, I doubt it’s kept them from continuing to try to innovate and invest. It’s the cost of doing business.

In any event, hopefully Mario builds upon this season and it never comes to that but eventually he needs to stop constantly zipping his zipper on his frank and beans…

You may be right . All speculation at this point. I can't see them winning any of the last 7 games.

What’s crazy is back in the day if a college gave a play $20 for pizza the NCAA would give huge penalties.

Now we got free agency, portal, NIL and throw in initial bag before all this.

A total free for all auction house no limits, limousines 5 star hotels on beach with college emblem in LED lights let alone pretty girls and putting up mom and dad also in 5 star hotels AWAY from the kids .

Unbelievable 😂😂😂

So, I've decided that college football freakin sucks right now. It's a complete cluster f. I'm 56 years old and I have never seen such a radical change in a sport that happened basically overnight. Blame the greedy college leadership, boosters, NCAA, and decision makers et al because they didn't want to give up one penny of their billion dollar industry. Should've had a pay for play plan years ago. Now, it's sheer chaos.

Middle class will be priced right out of CFB like NFL .
 
Mario is having to swim against the tide going into year 4. We needed this season to create momentum, and he fell short of expectations. It’s only going to get harder for him to sell UM to top talent as they look less into his vision and more into his mediocre results here. We’re seeing that play out in real time

I think Cam coming here may have ironically been the worst thing that could have happened to our hopes of a real shot at an NC anytime soon. I mean, I loved watching him and how he carried the team to an exciting season. But that created a facade of a program on the improve - which buys Mario more years. We were a 6-6, 7-5 team at best without Cam. Cam gave Mario, the program and the administration cover. And while Cam was great, that ain't good.

Mario was getting 5-6 years regardless of whether Cam or a Clam came to play QB
