I wasn’t big on Manseh. Think we should have went after Arnold instead the eggs in the Mateer basket. Mendoza is a decent option. Just need to surround him with a couple more WRs to go with Daniels. Also we need to start getting some defensive players.
 
Problem is now we’re behind the 8ball with defenders unless we’re going to start tossing out mad dough for Tacario Calhoun O’Conner and Silver plus more

Bro all we had to do was beat GT or Syracuse and we were in the ACC championship game and the playoffs. Seems like that would be a positive. “It’s that easy to make it to the ACC championship game? WOW.”

Sorry man. This is a whole lot of copium.
Our dc has more bodies this year and sucked. And we think a safety is gonna fix it? Silver hasn’t signed.
Look at the playoffs and see who back there chucking it for the top teams.

We had someone who’s about to be the number one or number 2 pick at qb but you think Mendoza is gonna take us further cause of our run game and a safety?

If you’re serious about winning you get Cam Ward not Mendoza or Williams.
Maybe they don’t see it with Mateer or felt that it was Mateer and a steep drop off with everyone else.
And if that’s the case then again that’s poor planning.

We went 10-2 (a season many of you are retroactively disappointed by) and missed out on the Playoffs. That's super easy to negative recruit.

Mendoza throws for 3,500 yards and 25-30 TDs here in this offense. With what I think we have coming back and how I expect it to look, I’d see us around 15-20 in scoring offense.

Improve the defense and I can see us going 10-2 again. Going to take an investment at CB1, another safety, and a stud DT. Then, round out the offense with 1, maybe 2 more WRs and maybe a starting caliber LG to push competition there (or center).

Pay Singleton and Mendoza Mateer’s money and I’d be happy.

So you think we're just signing ONE safety on defense and thats it? You think the the current roster/staff as it stands today will be exactly the same opening day next season?

No argument from me. We have what we have. I watched the Duke and UVA targets go into the portal and end up at those two schools and knew Mario was focused on one guy like last year and told a few Mateer will go to OU because of Arbuckle and we’ll have no one. I’m not shocked. Just disappointed because there were people in the portal who could have helped us.

Play Nickel. Him getting a year of experience is way better than somebody with a much lower ceiling like Emory or Mendoza.
