I am all for getting the best player for a key position. I happen to think we can win with Emory Williams (With a defense that can at least hold opponents under 35 points). What is baffling to me is why hasn't Emory walked in to the coaches office and said he was transferring out? If we sign Mateer, then we sign him. Hopefully its all good. Win with whomever. But with Emory at the helm, we did beat Clemson at Clemson. Should have beaten the "Vaunted" Seminoles (At That Time).

It just seems like a slap in the face. A vote of no confidence. This kid played hard for us and won over his team mates. It's understandable to bring in Cam Ward. But now you are bringing in another front line guy (so you think). As a organization, we have drastically f****d up QB recruiting. How does a top flight QB in high school look at us now knowing that each year, you are going to look at others.

If we are a trenches type team, then so be it. Win with great running backs and great offensive lines. Recruit heavily in those areas. Because the REALLY good QB prospects are going to look the other way when Miami offers.

I have seen the game and he was 24-33 @ a 72% completion rate for 151 yards. 85 QBR

With a playoff caliber defense, we win 10 - 11 games with that and the stable of running backs we have.

Daniels says he likes what he saw in Emory and that makes you unhappy because you want a portal QB. Many of you guys can be ****ish. I'm super happy to hear he continues to develop. He's our clear number 2 and possible number 1.

We also need to hold on to him. What happens if that transfer QB goes down and we're chasing Emory away? Then it's either Judd or Luke. Is that sound roster management?

I told myself I was going to take a step back from the boards after being left out of the playoff...it lasted a few days and I felt bad about myself when I eventually came back. I got over feeling bad about myself coming back quickly. Stuff like this makes it all worthwhile.

He's got all he can ask for this year... a 1b weapon capable of taking over if needed, lob partners, defense on the perimeter and guys being able to score off of his playmaking.

I don't even want Dallas to trade this season. It's all there. Just a matter of learning from last year.
