It's only because he committed early, but there is not enough excitement around Artie Burns.

Some of us have emphatically been saying that he'll be a corner here. I've gone a step further to say that I think he'll be in the Top 3 or 4 rotation by the end of his True Freshman season.

Peter and I don't usually have serious disagreements, but I think he has a higher ceiling and is a better prospect than Rashard Robinson.

Yeah Artie Burns is a huge get that Saban and Miles really wanted. It'll be interesting to see how he does in the All American game.

As far as whether or not he comes here, the people I talk to in Louisiana think he's coming here. I still will stay on the cautious side until he actually makes the visit. He's had 3 trips set up to Miami but didn't make it to any of them

I thought the staff was trying to convert us to a more 3-4 defense like they used at Temple, so i would think a tweener LB/DE would be a perfect fit for us.

Williams would redshirt...which he needs...we have Jelani, Hoilett, O'Donnell, Mccord to go along with starters rotation guys (Chick, Green, Cain,Bond)

If Muhammad commits though he is an INSTANT rotation guy from what ive seen.

I'm all in on the Tim Williams bandwagon...even if he is light in the ***....keep the Louisiana pipeline going...I dont think he is that much smaller than Hoilett who we brought in and has already made huge weight strides ina redshirt year.

Burns is my #1 incoming recruit not named Matthew Thomas. You know how much I love Alex Collins but I think Burns can be even better before he leaves. He has everything.

I still think AQM has a hard time breaking the rotation w the numbers we have there. If he's not in the top 4, rs him. And I don't see it. Bond, green, McCord, chick and some other younger guys are gonna step up (Hamilton)?

Watch the O-D Bowl this afternoon.

Few things:

Rashard Robinson really impressed. Had a pick, was a kick returner also..Looked real fluid and not overmatched a big cb at 6'2 175-180. Will be an all sec type at LSU. Sick how he and Artie Burns would look like here at CB.

Jayron Kearse is athletic as all ****. Had him lined up at safety. Kid is a long , athlete at about 6'4 200. Dude has range, and can even play over the slot which he did and got an int in the game.

Guys that impressed that werent um recruits:
Was a LT in the game that was HUGE. I know we just got Sunny, but hes a guy i wish we would offer. Kids name is Dan Skipper and he is about 6'10 295. Dude can move, and is flat out nasty..he was blocking to the whistle, and getting to the second level...his height wasnt a problem. I love watching the ol..and this kid stood out like a sore thumb. He's a tenn soft verbal.

Another was a linebacker that was all over the ball and physical. He is a Tex A &M committ.Darian Claiborne.About 6'0-6'1 220 but kid has a serious nose for the ball. He just needs to hit the weightroom and look out for him being an all sec type lb.
