Alex Collins finally signs with Arkansas

Johnny Cochran franchised his name and sold the rights. I wouldn't necessarily count on Johnny Cochran type of lawyering just because you hired "The Cochran Firm."

You know if Cochran's group is involved there will be some roofs raised.

This won't go away quietly.

I'm not counting on Johnnie Cochran-type lawyering, I am counting on Johnnie doing the work. This is the Cochran Firm and Mr. Johnnie represents everyone who signs that firm.

Isn't Arkansas very forward thinking with the ****?

Franchise made an excellent post about the types of players who will succeed here under the current regime; perhaps Collins didn't feel like he fit that mold. I'm not saying he's soft, he did chose to play in the SEC where there are a lot good athletes, but maybe he's just not hardcore enough to be a Cane.

He can play brokeback ozarks under bielema. That might suit him well.

Woah man, his dad doesn't even know what the f*ck is going on...

Alex Collins made a horrible decision. And I'm not just saying this because it's UM, because I would've understood a **** of a lot more if he chose UF or FSU.... Arkansas?? Lulz

It is gonna be one of the biggest and worst regrets that Alex had ever made.

Based on vocabulary and diction, Collins' dad sounds like he may be an Arkansas alum. Now the decision makes more sense.

Gotta agree here. This poor kid just got roped into a horrible decision. Tell me UF or FSU and I understand. But academically...RIGHT! A S. Fla kid thousands of miles away in the sticks... on artificial turf... 2nd rate football school. I'd be surprised if he lasts 2 years...

That interview with Alex's dad was painful to watch... no one thought of buying him a razor and a fifth of gin for the shakes to go along with that new shirt and tie???
Did Alex really site that his dad living in Hallendale and him in Ft. Lauderdale is the reason they don't see eachother that much.. really? thats the reason?

I don't feel badly for the kid at all. He knew what he was doing, and he did it. He ****ed on his family, UM and South Florida. Best of luck with the slack-jawed yokels in Arkansas.

Think he was already on that fifth of gin... But I guess seeing his dad and their "relationship" you can see how Alex Collins can be easily influenced by other male figures in his life... like that fat f*ck Gatewood.

Alex also said his mom was fine with the decision even though she wasn't there, and by the way, lawyered up too.

His brothers weren't there either, so I might question the veracity of his statement concerning his mother' opinion of this move. It looked like he really has a great relationship with his father. He quickly shook his hand and then broke camp. LULZ

In all seriousness, Collins may have been a fortunate miss for us. He seems like a weird kid, and not the type of kid I'd expect to play by anyone's rules.
