With Chatfield can’t it just come down to fit? He’s definitely a fit in their scheme and a role player here. Just saying, might be over-thinking it a bit.

He’s no LB running a 5 flat 40. He’s a DE in the mold of Toolbox. Toolbox wasn’t a OLB either.

A 3-4 OLB and DE and both Edge rushers...they essentially have the same role, except occasionally a 3-4 OLB will drop into coverage. That's why 3-4 NFL teams are looking at Trent Harris as an edge rusher.

I understand the 3-4. It’s the coverage where Chatfield will die running a 5 flat. They’ll eat him up.

I think he's a better fit here. He really could develop as a pass rusher like Trent Harris, and he's used to being a 4-3 DE.

He'll struggle in space as a 3-4 OLB. He ran a 4.95 40 at the Nike combine. He needs to be playing with his hand in the ground, at least in college.

Who knows what he's being sold on by Mullen though

Ight can I get a summary of any actual useful information that has been in this thread or happened today? No filler.

Word on the street is TC is going to UGA, but we remain very much in the mix for Surtain. For some reason, most CB's have Coburn going to Texas even though a lot of CB's were switched re: Chatfield from us to UF. Chatman to us seems likely. There is some serious dissonance between AI and DSJ/Dee when it comes to these cats.

I got Dee over AI in this event then. Who's Ivin's sources? We know who's @Brooklyndee's.

Oh no doubt, I'm relatively new to CIS, but I've learned who is good with the info and whatnot. If Dee says we're getting one or both of the corners then I'm buying it. And I know he's posted on another site that we're good, so I think we're good. Just giving a brief recap to calinative.

Personally, I think we land at least one of PS2/TC and, if so, I'll be thrilled.

Dee's info is great, but he sees through orange and green glasses like the rest of us when predictions are concerned unless he specifically says he knows a dude is a commit/coming.

So did other prognosticators or greentree watchers and 87% of the board would follow their opinion blindly

Pretty sure he and Chapman took off without the rest of the group, leaving some of the recruits — the AH3 — stuck at dorms for a while.
